$50k could help a lot with bringing up the production value of the webcast.  Hell, I know most of us would be willing to sit thru a few commercials on the webcast for near-tv quality.

Agreed. Also, why isn't any of these shows on the Fit Channel. I know at home we have Time Warner and they carry this Fit Channel.

Truth be told Cutler should look at Chick like Chick looks at us. Cutler and Chick are light years apart as far as bodybuilding is concerned.

Cutler also wouldn't get involved in internet squabbles

There's a reason getbig is the best board out there.  It's like recess.  It's fun.  There are groups who run wild, there are groups who stand next to the teacher and throw compliments.  But the far larger group is the one who just enjoys sitting back and watching it all go down.  It's fun :)

Yup, this me in a nutshell. The shellacking you gave Bob, wholly deserved, was a pleasure to see unfold (as are some of the petards you hoist on yourself  ;). But the masses will always need the services of a good 'muck-raker' (here in Canada we call it a 'shit disturber') to keep people honest.

I don't think anyone is bashing getbig.com

I know that Ron and I get along great.  I generate a lot of content for his board, and I am a part of a group of steady posters who have contributed to the growth of this place over the last several years.

For anyone who's seen the VIP board- the "Utopia" of BBing boards- that place is downright BORING!  Somebody posts a token topic, everyone gets "seen" and plays nice, and the thread dies.  There are like 10 threads total, and not one chuckle or laugh to be had.  It was like reading homework.

There's a reason getbig is the best board out there.  It's like recess.  It's fun.  There are groups who run wild, there are groups who stand next to the teacher and throw compliments.  But the far larger group is the one who just enjoys sitting back and watching it all go down.  It's fun :)

Wow! You give the phrase 'Self-delusion' a new meaning dude - You generate content and you have CONTRIBUTED TO THE GROWTH of this place? ROFLMAO. Mate, give this a try -  delete your account and stop posting and see how many people give a f*ck.

The only thing you do over and over is prove you have a big mouth and an even bigger beef against pro bodybuilders. This is a forum where most (normal) people post for fun every now and then. Only guys like you who do nothing but post all day, everyday lose track of reality and think you are indispensible and that what is said here is the only thing that counts. And don't give me that crap about you posting while your are working - you can only do one or the other, unless you are able to violate the laws of physics.

FYI, and like Ron says, there are more people who read this forum than post in it. I myself (here in Auckland) know at least 30 people who follow this forum regularly and don't post (and I am not even social or know a lot of people). There are as many opinions here as there are members and the real world is much, much bigger. You want to have a laugh or two or even have a crack at others, that's fine, its your business. But please stop posting shit like you have contributed to the growth of this place. This forum is popular for 2 reasons - not just because everyone is free to say what they wish (except M eltdown ;D), but equally because there are a lot of bodybuilders and industry insiders who post regularly.

I can understand if you do that or even do something like work in a call centre or something where you get paid to sit around (at least, for a part of the shift). But 240 is a web designer

Yessir.  And I tell ya, my day is a series of cycles.  I spend 30 to 45 intense minutes designing.  I crank some chemical bros or godsmack and forget anything exists except the site.  I cut, paste, draw, I must have 20 windows open at once, i have a notepad, my books, and other tools around me.  Then I take a break.  Get a drink, check MSNBC, check getbig.  Spend 10 minutes reading the news thinking of opportunities.  pet my cat.  Do a chore or two. THen, check my email and get back to work.

And I do this from 10 am til 2 am most days, stopping to see my woman for a few hours and to hit the gym.

So I"m probably doing at least 8 hours of intense work each day.  It's just spaced out to preserve sanity.

He doesn't like the MC part, he's just known as Hammer now. Either way "you can't touch this".

I like 240, too, but feel he was out of line on this one.  I'll chock it up to youthful exuberance.

I can vouch for 240's ability to get work done in an effective and very efficient manner.  His posting frequency doesn't seem to slow down his work at all.

All plausible except the Gym part...who do you think your kidding
Even though you've posted numerous times about being a workaholic and work 14 hours a day.
You can't even keep the BS straight anymore, keep a log or something.

thanks man!

and yeah, i probably would have not pushed it, but I remember a few times where Chick has posted lines like 'go back to making your cheap $300 websites and let us real businessmen talk', etc.  That kinda talk does make it real life, for me at least, when he criticizes my work, as he's a pro and ppl listen to him.

I agree with you tre...sometimes he's spot on...and sometimes he's an assbag...

the post seemed to be more inflammitory than it was to be just useful customer feedback...but i think he'd kick bob chick in the face if he thought he coudl get away with it just for spite...but eh...can't make everyone happy... and that's what people in the industry need to learn.

Niceracq, I was 120 pounds at the tender age of 25.  If you think I got up to 200+ while staying the same bodyfat WITHOUT hitting the gym, PLEASE tell me how it's done.  :)

Luckily, whether I'm at the university, my home, or the pseudo-office I have set up at a local business, I have a gym within 5 minutes of each.  So I can always stop in for 45 minutes and do some heavy compound movements, even if the rest of the day is packed.

Plus, the nerd that I am, I usually have a flash or PHP book to read on the treadmill or between sets of squats :)

My first reaction when reading this thread is: "Y'all take this junk waaay too seriously."  Although, I value Getbig as it's a part of my life now, I respect Ron for allowing us to act the way we do (occassional discipline occurs, but it's cool), if some members have been able to make a buck or two because of exposure on Getbig I think that's great (for those in that category you owe Ron a debt of gratitude at minimum).  Regardless, there are too many people that can't seperate reality from the bullshit.   Yes, we have an Owning Squad, constant mudslinging and endless ribbing, dirty humor, an X-board breakfast club, gimmick accounts, a ton of colorful characters, religious and political debates, scandals, sex and of course bodybuilding (the only reason any of us sought out a board like this in the first place).   Granted some of us are much more dedicated to the sport and pursuit of bb, but all of us are most definitely fans of bb...that's why we're here.   I've been a member of this board since mid-2004 and I've never sent a complaint to a mod, a complaint to Ron, a negative PM to another member, I been relentlessly insulted and I've relentlessly insulted others, etc...I can't control someone's else negativity, but I certainly can control my own.   Now I'll slam almost every noob on this board simply to test their mettle....in the end of all that ribbing most of us are totally cool with each other.   Still, others push the envelope and attack the pro reps in the bb business, but so what if they do.....why can't we question and test those that represent bb.     Eh, all the endless debates over whose right and wrong, all the hurt feelings and all that mess is just bullshit.

People, just enjoy the board and quit acting like a bunch of whiny, bonesacked tits and twats!   Oh brother!!

Just judging from your photos...
A word of advice once you loaded up the bar, take two steps closer to it and then lift.  It is much more beneficial lifting the actual bar instead of pretending in the mirrors.

I suggested the same thing yesterday.  Fit TV has exercise programs running all day and would seem like a natural fit for bodybuilding.  It's available on most cable providers and would be a good way for the IFBB to attract new fans.
