He had a cool routine in the drug tested 1990 Mr. O.  Lot's of spinning stuff that I hadn't seen before.  Huge quads.  The one MC that does infomercials now Joe Fowler, was annoying as all hell.  It's a shame that we never saw any pictures at all of the guys that failed the testing to see how off or on that they were.

I was at the show, actually met Mike O'tren. Frank looked really good, great quads. The drug testing was done a few days before the show, those that failed couldn't compete. I remember Demay and Benaziza failing, not sure who else.

He lived in Vegas for many years b4 he passed, there's even one BFTO where Rockel and his sponsor are randomly bumping into him at a local gym.

Rockel has like a complete fan-boy moment, while Hillebrand doesn't even know him ;D

He did really well at his first Olympia.  As others mentioned it was the drug tested O. He was in the top 10, maybe 7th or thereabouts.

Next years Olympia he was out of the top 10, maybe 12 or lower.

I thought he looked great. Reminded me of Demey.

He's one guy who I would tend to believe it was more of a genetic predisposition.  His pro career wasn't long, he never tried to play the "mass" game. He stopped competing and was a trainer. He was still in great shape but not overly huge.

I also thought his clientele was pretty high end, celebrities and whatnot. If his demise was drug related Id be inclined to believe it was recreational drugs moreso than anabolics, or maybe a combination of both? Celebrity clients, living in Vegas. Makes sense.
