The Users Online has gone absolutely ballistic the last few days (doubt they are all real people) to literally unprecedented levels by some margin

15k currently when normal is about 1-3k, and only very very rarely above 5k

This may be a factor

Yes, I have noticed this too. It might have something to do with the fires in Los Angeles County. Doesn't Ron live in Woodland Hills, CA? Logging on to Getbig seems okay it is just when you go to the boards - forum that it slows down.

I had some guy in SE Asia I pissed off and he was relentless going after my website.

Could be something political here maybe.
