The school I got into is a 2 hour commute and cost 50k. I got a 17k scholarship. If I want housing it is an extra 25k. I have an aging dog that bites and a 5-year-old whose wrestling practice I like to attend biweekly and a new wife and home.

So that is 22.5k a year in Scholarship per year that is a significant discount

However it is not going to be completely free and it is not going to be in my living room so I have to decide how much I am willing to spend and how far I am willing to travel and how often. How much is it actually worth to me. Do I really want to miss time with my family? Let me see where else I get in first and apply for financial aid.

Correct No one has accepted me yet. I just got my applications in last week. They typically take 6-8 weeks to hear back. I got one immediate rejection. I have also had request back from 2 more now for additional paperwork before they will mark my application ready for review. I have 2 that show the application is in review and 2 I have not heard anything at all from yet.

I should hear back around late Feb. I should also be able to start lifting around late Feb. Which way will my life go?

Am I going to become a scholar in my old age?

Or is it back to the Iron? Is it back to the wheel of pain?

I applied to 9 law schools one is a top 25 program. I am probably not going to get into that one though. I will be happy to go anywhere accredited that is practical to attend. I applied some places that are less practical to attend than others.

It is not an online school none of the schools I applied are online. They are all brick and mortar. Some do offer online classes and hybrid programs where you are on campus part time some do not. But they are all accredited real Law Schools. I am still waiting to hear back from 8 more. I will not make any decisions until I have all the information. I would prefer to attend in person on campus, but I am willing to do a hybrid program as well. It depends where I get in and how much money I get offered. Right now, I am in 1. I am very grateful to be in 1 and happy to be offered a merit scholarship.
