My goal is to get an education that prepares me to pass the bar exam so I can practice Law. High Point can help me do that. I stated from day 1 that I plan to do that as economical as possible. If Harvard accepts me but wants me to pay Full price and High Point is giving me a scholarship, then High Point is the better Law School than Harvard for me. I am not trying to go broke paying for Law School.

I have a 4-year degree in Finance, but I took Accounting 101 at community college for 180 dollars. Do you think Accounting 101 is a different class with a different book at Princeton?  I was very impressed with High Point and their professors I thought the facilities looked great and the Professors were all very well qualified. The only issue is the commute.

If you'd have read what I originally responded to, it was a soulcrusher suggesting that you wouldn't actually get into a real school, to which I responded that you might as a full fee paying student because that's an economic reality that is very often catered for in many schools.

Though I will point out that I don't think it's as necessarily clear cut as you explain.  You may receive a better education at Harvard and thus be a better prospect, coming out.  The books might be the same but the imparted experience could be different.  It's also true that you can pretty much use that as a catchphrase about yourself, throughout your career and your own longevity withstanding, going to harvard over high point could easily be worth the extra money in prestige and opportunities just based on where you went.   Of course, getting into a school that carries weight with their name is probably out of the realms of possibility for you.

He'd be lucky if someone thought that.  He had no career, he wasn't grinding it out in finance. It was a couple of years then he quit after inheriting money and went to party and take drugs for over a decade before the money started running out.  He'll be in his 50s having spent most of his thirties and all of his forties basically unemployed.

What you don't know is that the state of Massachusetts has very limited character and fitness disclosures. Harvard may not be practical but there are multiple Universities in Massachusetts that offer Hybrid Law programs. You basically go to Boston one week a semester. I applied to universities there. New York also has a well ranked school that requires very little disclosures and a well known school with an online hybrid program. I applied to both. UNC Chapel Hill is actually closer and cheaper being a public school and ranked 20th in the Nation. I applied there and wont get in but I applied maybe the admissions counselor is drunk when they review my file and I get in. NC has a ton of disclosure requirements so not sure how other NC schools will look at my file. Elon didnt like it but I saw a guy last year get rejected from 20 different law schools including half a dozen in NC and he got into Harvard. You just never know.

They have a website that shows the stats and application statuses for previous years at all the law schools it even shows who got money and who got rejected along with their lsat and gpa. You can kind of look and see where you fall vs other applicants

I did not apply to Harvard but to be honest my wife told me if I got into Harvard I am going and living in the dorms

The law school will be accredited in the spring of 2026. My kid goes to school during the week anyway. I would also be home by the same time everyone else with a job gets home and have Friday off. His mother also has him half the time. Oh yeah and her house is halfway between mine and the law school.

As far as working out I have a pile of weights on the stairs inside my house and bands hanging from the railing there is a bench press in my living room.  I have a full gym in my garage. At no point in my life am I ever going to stop working out.
