Yup,I need it, but only at times.....it`s been tougher lately due to my being ill and the anxiety over the surgery that is eventually coming after I finish my Chemo infusions.

I will NEVER allow myself to become dependant on anything that alters my personality on a regular basis ever again as my life was a Hellish nightmare back in the day.

People say,"Never say never" but I can safely say it in my case as I know for a fact that no matter what comes my way I will face it and not try to escape reality like I did years ago.

Well you are strong which is great in your situation. Some people do get physically addicted without intending to. I can't speak on anothers behalf but like Ronnie could be physically addicted even being so strong. But I've also heard docs say that if you do drugs for real physical reasons there's less of a chance to get addicted, "the pills just eat up the pain." But the pain I just had, I said addiction is faaaar from my mind, give me everything or knock me out

Do you think that drive many alcoholics have, once they get a small taste they wake up 20 years later when it didn't go according to plan, can the brain ever be rehabilitated to normal, where someone could switch to moderate "safe" drinking?
