Heard he took new memberships and collected Gym dues til the day the gym closed it's doors, without ever notifying anyone. People showed up to a closed gym.

I know a guy who rented his building from another gym owner , the other gym owner wanted the gym and building back
(bit more to the story but I cant be arsed)
He made an offer to buy the business back from him, he said OK

They had a date for handover and the guy in the gym sold everyone a Years membership for £100 each ( normally £200)
New guy took over and had to honour the memberships, first year in business had hardly any money over the counter.

that's the typical business model. A gym {exertek} in Allentown pa shut down for a 3 day holiday weekend saying they were doing renovations and updates to the gym. when members showed up on Tuesday they found an empty building. I had a dentist that pulled that shit once.

The owner of one gym that I trained ran a New Years $99.00 for a years membership special.

Tons of people jumped on it......after some time passed,we go to the gym and it is closed.....not just closed but totally and entirely devoid of any equipment at all.

It seems that over the course of a weekend only, they emptied the contest of two floors of machines and tons of weights.

I have since moved but I heard that the owner has a ton of people looking for him and he only lives a few towns away.

I periodically check the web for his obituary.
