I’m guessing you are joking, but I worked at a large liquor store on Long Island which was more like a big box store version chain of a liquor store and we had some in the thousands on display but nothing like this.

No joke. I entered a raffle at a casino a few weeks ago and they called me this morning and said I won. So I have to pick it up Monday. I do enjoy a glass of Johnnie blue on occasion but this is above my pay grade.

Yeah I’m not a cognac guy at all so to me the blue label is way better. I would take much less than 40k prob 20k.

     I looked on ebay. they only sell the mty bottle for 300-400 dollar range. Maybe try a high end auction house.

This is true.  The bottle itself is a big collection thing. Even the empty display boxes it comes in go for a good bit.

My buddy that owns bars here has a house policy that if you purchase the last measured shot in the bottle ($375) you get the bottle at stopper free.

It's a big pain in the ass to sell something like this. You need to find a buyer or auction house with a liquor license to buy it or resell it for you. If you want to sell it for the best price, you really need to go through an auction house because of the liquor license requirement.
