She looks quite okay though offseason. Well, if Markus is standing next to her that is. If i stood next to her it would be different. She dwarfs me, but she also has higher Test levels than me.

Do you guys remember when he came into the NOC I think in 2000 and won the show? He was in outstanding shape for that show. A true product of awesome genetics. I have always been fascinated with the bigger framed bodybuilders like Markus, Dorian, Ronnie, Jay and Art Atwood. It is beyond my comprehension how these individuals gain so much quality size since thier pro debut shows. HUGE IS GOOD as long as it is lean. Total package IMO.

well that's one of the freakiest pictures anywhere. Ruhl's huge and he's a freak but not the sort of physique I'd like. I saw a video here of Samir Bannout from 89 Olympia. Perfect.

I think thats one of the things I like about bdoybuilding from a fans point of view, you may have your favorite physiques and personalities but we all have some respect for what every athlete in this sport past, present or future has built and worked hard to achieve. Samir had a classic physique that most guys would kill to have. He was good in his day.

It's a shame he showed up as a synthol infested bag of piss at the last Olympia.

i don't believe markus is a synthol man but why do you say last year? Last year he was the same as every year just very bad conditioning.

I don't believe he does Synthol either, just a huge dude. His conditioning is questionable at most of the shows he does. That pic of the NOC he won shows that he can achieve good conditioning if he does his homework. He didn't look too bad at the 2004 Arnold where he placed 5th. I thought he should have got 4th over Gunther (gunther wasn't quite on that night and Markus looked fairly good) Actually there were several placings that night that I thought should've been changed like Dex coming in 3rd place when he was easily 2nd, Chris Cormier placing second when he should've won and Jay placing first when I have seen him in much better shape than that show. Hell, Jay got the most muscular award that night over Markus

That award was made for guys like Markus. Nothing against Jay, he is very good but it just didn't add up in my book.

that was nonsense. markus should have gotten the award hands down. In 04 his conditioning was good enough to give him 5th at the O.

jeez he looks like a freak, hes huge FROM THE FRONT. Too bad his back doesn't compare at all. His smaller unsymetrical look from the back with showing up unconditioned holding water most the time are reasons why he isn't gonna be the best.

IMO hes too blocky....same reason i've never liked Jay. high lats, and funny shoulders. thats just forcing a body that wasn't made to be a bber to be one.

well the fact that he was able to get so big means he was "meant" to be a bodybuilder... whatever that means. But he certainly does not have a classic look.
