I think Nick is doomed to disappear into mediocrity. He wasn't given the grace to croak prematurely like Dallas McCarver as the new wonder boy and maintain the nimbus of a “what if”. Instead, he has to watch as younger, even freakier or simply better athletes grow up and overtake him until he retires at 35 at the latest without ever having won a major title. After 5 years he will be forgotten and if he dies in another 10 years, he will be just one of many.

In his rookie year he won  ASC   and 2x NYPro  .But no arguing with rest of your post.He is done .
