Divided about this
Sure, im no supporter of gangs and gangcrimes and theyre the worst of the worst for sure
But either you treat them as humans and try to help them get back in society or kill em off
No need to put em all in a crowded sardine-can to rot away, that is costly to keep them alive and is pure torture.
And why destroy graves?
Should you gather all folks with tattoos in the US and incinerate them? Not caring if some are innocent?
I do agree with killing off insane criminals/gangmembers that keep repeating crimes and that have no chance of change in their ways. Just a waste for society and a risk to keep alive.
Keeping them like sardines, without any kind of privacy and being humiliated daily is part of the process of rehabilitation of society. It's a message for young aspiring
pandilleros (gang members). Someone who destroyed families without any sense of care, needs to perceive where the authority relies.
Personally i do not believe those murders will ever be "rehabilitated". Killing gives them status in their twisted mind.
Regarding killing them, El Salvador is mostly Christian and very religious, hence death should be solely on the hands of God and not men.
I do not belive tatoos were solely the mean of conviction.
Desecrating their tombs in their highly religious society must have a very profound shaming effect, all to avoid that youngsters join gang life, since it will affect their elders honor.
