Question about the Collegiates
« on: May 04, 2006, 06:53:48 PM »
Do you have to show proof that you are in college, or is this just an age ranking for contests?!

That's not the answer I was looking for Alexxx. Seriously, do you have to be in college or no? I don't believe for one second that Adam Reich is in college.

As a full time student or part time student?

So I could be in one class, and be qualified for the collegiates? Wow.

240 and I have had our differences and I think we have moved past that. Actually, if you think about it, we both agreed that Bob was the winner of the Masters and that Rusty should have placed higher. All in all I think 240's a decent guy, I would buy him a beer if I saw him at a bar. I think he knows I'm no real threat to him and I am mostly humoring and harmless.

Yes, but you also have to have competed in at least one prior NPC event.

It's the way JC would want it.

Place, win overall, or just compete?

u have to have competed in an npc competition prior to entering the show. and you DO have to be in college FULL TIME. Part time does not count. AND you DO have to show proof of paper during weigh ins of the show.

Wouldn't you need something more Physiology based to be a physical therapist?

Does age matter? Could you be 30, and as long as you are a full time college student, still compete in it? One thing I thought was kind of funny is that I competed in three different shows in the teen class and on every flyer it always said proof of age required and I never once had to show anything.

Did you look younger than you were?

No, I wouldn't say so. Of the four shows I have done, I don't think I have ever seen a masters or teen competitor actually have to pull out their drivers license or birth certificate to show proof of age. I think at alot of local shows the promoters have so much else to worry about that they just take your word as far as your age is concerned (unless you appear to be obviously too old or too young). I would say that at bigger shows such as teen nationals and collegiates you have to show some proof though.

But it is a summer show, I'm sure someone could have dropped out or not taken classes the last 4 months of the spring semester, and still have a proof of enrollment from January.

I don't know if he's dishonest but the "Pec bouncing" he advertises you can see on his DVD makes me realize what's wrong with this world today!

There is something humorous about pec bouncing. It seems a little juvenile ;D
