White players will eventually dominate the NBA. The back to back MVP and #1 rated player is white(Jokic) the #2 is Doncic. Slam dunk champion, three point champion and countless stars from Doncic to Sabonis, Holmgren, and white boys with HOPS!
The change was bodybuilding and steroids. Not saying Mac was on ever, but he was balding at 16 and vertical leap is especially affected in young athletes. Even the bodybuilding lifestyle alone, training methods, etc has evened the playing field.
White players have gone up to 20% of the NBA but they have a higher percentage of impact players. Sabonis, Holmgren, Love, Porzingis. Franchise players.
Bodybuilding saved white players like it did in the 60s for white players in the NFL. But #1 reason listed for great basketball players is intelligence. There's a reason there are more white quarterbacks. The defenses and offenses of NBA basketball are more complex now. A great player has to read defenses, like a quarterback. Once the athleticism playing field is level, white players will eventually dominate if of equal athleticism which exceptions like Jordan, James, and other very smart players. But Jordan was taught by Dean Smith.
This all started in the early 90s. There's a reason Austin Croshere's Indiana Pacers jersey is so prominently displayed at Golds Venice in the second room. He's from Santa Monica/Venice and when Larry Bird drafted him from Providence to Indiana Pacers IN 1997 and everyone said he was a weak, non athletic white boy. So when Austin went home we went to Golds and said 'I have to put on muscle to be able to compete". Anybody around elite athlete training at Golds in the early 90s remembers Austin Croshere.
At the same time LA Laker trainer Gary Vitti was Lou Ferigno's training partner. You can see him in Lou's comeback movie about the Masters Olympia in 1994. They trained at Worlds in MDR. He also had access to elite level steroids and hgh for Magic as in the early 90s Anabolics were considered more of a first line treatment for possible wasting. Look how JACKED Magic got in his comeback. And Shaq and any Laker of the early 90s was JACKED, Byron Scott. So Vitti was an elite level "trainer" on the west coast
The EU and Slovenia, Lithuania, SLokavia, Russia, etc as we all know have a LONG history of doping so white boys over 6'5 saw basketball as a ride to escape their worn torn countries and came over here with GAME. And hops, like Porzingism Makannan. Mcclung has the look, especially the early balding of a kid who did a couple light little Winstrol cycles, put 5 inches on his vertical leap and maintained it.
But even with bodybuilding training alone and diet, white players will dominate the NBA, especially with fewer black players staying in college four years and coming out of high school with poor training and only athleticism.
