The problem is that now every damn movie has a "Stark" touch to it.  Spiderman's suit in the last one?  WTF?  While there are comics with that angle, the appeal to Spiderman was that he was a dude trying to figure it out as he went along and had some powers.  The biggest tech he had was the Spidey Belt spotlight, webshooters, and spider tracker.

Same thing with Black Panther.  In the beginning of the comics he was just an enhanced guy that did not rely on gadgets and whatnot to get by.  Just his brain, brawn and agility.

I didn't even watch the Black Panther movie.  BP is nothing more than Kraven from the ghetto.  Look at both :  they are jungle themed, they both get their powers from herbs (different herbs, but still), their powers are the same slightly enhanced strength, speed, senses.  Both use jungle theme weapons - Kraven (dart guns, gases, paralyzing venom) BP (spiked brass knuckles, spear, lions teeth - the laser guns and shit his people use are straight up bullshit.)  Both are superior hunters, trackers, gymnasts, etc.  Both have a code of honor.    The list goes on and on.  There are comics where Kraven straight up kicked his ass and found him unworthy.  A couple other times BP won.

But now BP can jump off 12 story building and land with no injury because his vibramium suit absorbs the impact.  The same make up that Falcon's suit is so that he could survive falling and crashing to earth and the might of the Hulk's blows.

Any adult that watches these superhero movies should be ridiculed

Well,you'd be ridiculing someone for something you know nothing about.

Granted, the vast majority of them are garbage but so is almost everything Hollywood puts out these days.

The MCU, marvels movie production group put out their first movie around 2009 or 10. And everything thereafter was great entertainment all the way up to 2019 when all the various movies, about 30 of them or so, wete weaved together in an impressive conclusion. they had great special effects, great dialog, surprisingly good acting, and compelling storylines. The way they all came together was very strategic and complex, no other movie series ever did that. The MCU had a formula for their movies that worked surprisingly well.

I used to think the same way about them and thought they were stupid because I never watched one. I missed the whole saga but incidentally saw the penultimate movie in the "infinity saga" i.e. the first 30 movies and It was so good I had to watch the next previous one, which was great and so on until I watched them all. (It helps if you have children,  or had a passing interest in comics as a kid)

I'd catch my children watching them and I'd ridicule the movie "this is stupid, you should've read the comics I had as a kid etc... then when I saw how good they were I had to admit, it was impressive story telling.

Imagine if star wars or Indiana Jones or back to the future had a 30 movie series and all of them were as good as.. let's say return of the jedi and some were even as good as the very first star wars.  And the were all brought together in a conclusion that made sense.

Everything before the first MCU movie was garbage and everything since 2019 has sucked ass. Everything the MCU did in between was really good. The DCU, the DCEU and most of the Sony films were drivel.

1. Captain America is black.

2.There's also some kind of secondary 'America' character wearing a star spangled outfit introduced in the MCU who is a mexican girl named America Chavez. No affiliation with the whole captain america thing.  Her origin is more mutant based.  Shit character in the comics, more shit in the movies with that debacle of a scarlet witch movie

3.Iron Man is a black teenage girl have to agree with you on the whole white man thing for comics and movies.  So, now this young black girl knows way more than tony stark about the iron man outfits. She can rebuild a suit in her garage the same way a billionaire can do it?  Riiiiight.  Women power!

4. and there's a secondary iron man character,  same idea flying iron suit with iron mans abilities, who is a black guy. Never had a problem with the Rhodes character.  Never claimed to be iron man or anything.
 Was pretty damn good in the civil war 2 series

5. Hawkeye has been replaced by a girl another swing and miss in the comics AND movies.  That tv series was so fucking awful.  Finished it just to find out how bad it was.  I recall al of the backlash Marvel got when they killed off Clint and tried to stuff this bull shit down our throats

6. Hulk was phased out and replaced by She-hulk... which absolutely sucked phased out in the movies more so.  ANYONE who thinks Ragnarok was a good movie deserves an asskicking.  Assholes trying to incorporate planet hulk into a thor series.  Fuck them.  Then the female valkarie character and that smug face made me want to vomit.  The comic series ragnarok was the shit.  Dark and having thor rip both eyes out was damn good.  She hulk in comics is nothing like this fucking shit fest in the movies/tv.  Avengers disassembled was a showing for her

7. Black Panther is now a black girl. Some meak 98lb character beats namor....fuck me.  Another movie where I sat in the theater and knew my time going was ending.  They made namor out to be a bitch.  Even in the comics I couldn't stand reading her character in Secret Wars and Avergers vs xmen.  Comics tried to stuff her in our face by having Storm 'advocate for her' to be BP.   Fuck off

8. The last Thor movie set up a scenario where he now has a little girl who is going to be more powerful than him. its a character 'made up' by the movies.  Stuffing this one down our throat because of the 'white male buffoon' we already have

9. Spiderman is still a guy but he's portrayed as an idiot (pretty much all the white male characters are now portrayed as bumbling idiots) who is a punchline and his black girlfriend is the smart one who figures everything out while he fucks everything up. Dont' forget the hispanic spiderman, the lesbian female spiderman, etc in the comics.  The whole thing with her NOT being the Mary Jane Watson from comics pissed people off big time.  She is Michelle - Oh brother.  Fuck marvel....

10. Vision was killed off leaving Scarlet Witch solo- a girl, who along with Captain Marvel- a girl and Ms. Marvel- a black woman are probably the 3 most powerful people in the Marvel universe. captain marvel in comics is so not like this crap in movies.  Where is Rogue to fuck up danvers when we need her.  The Ms Marvel character (hated the c.unt in comics, even more so on TV.  Yep, bring the bollywood bullshit to marvel...cash in marvel and disney.  Fuck them.   The black woman is not a Captain marvel...spectrum/photon yes...but fuck disney and marvel for that final movie I went to see in theater Marvels or something.  I said out loud (with the singing scene) "What in the holy fuck"...people laughed.  I almost walked out

 *The ironic thing there is the bitc4 who plays Captain Marvel was complaining about the number of white men who were cast in the Marvel movies and it was pointed out that in the comics her character is a black woman. The backlash was so strong they changed plans for her next movie and introduced the black woman in a Disney TV series.

There are others that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Most of these are stories taken straight from the comic books BUT of all the stories to choose from to adapt into a movie ONLY the stories involving poc/females were picked up, while at the same time discontinuing any stories with with white male leads, such as Guardians of the Galaxy. taken and shit on.  The first civil war movie was in name only...that whole series was the shit.  People fucking dying and it got dark.  none of the shit that was in the movie.

11. And movies like the Eternals were altered so that some of the male characters were altered so that they were women and  gay. wanted to like this movie...but yes, it was altered so much to make it palatable to people going.  Way to leave the whole celestial thing hanging for years and years marvel.

The first three phases were very entertaining,  well written,  surprisingly well acted and had good ammounts of humor including some adult humor and action.  Then over the course 6 movies or so everything that worked was abandoned in favor of this completely "forced" diversity. Now the movies fucking suck.

There were several scenes in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie where the male lead referenced all the different girls he had sex with and some bimbo alien with big tits was in his space ship whom he forgot about,  couldn't remember her name, implying he only used her for sex. Those scenes were great and yet would never be written into an MCU movie today. They're all DEI garbage now.

The DCU/DCEU has always sucked, not because of dei but because of shitty writing,  acting and directing so Disney/Marvel have pretty much killed the genre except foe gen z geeks who insist the movies are still good because they've been completely indoctrinated with dei bullshit their entire life.  could not agree more.
 DC at least tries to maintain some semblance to their comic roots.  Wish they would make a Injustice Gods among us movie series...superman punching through joker was the shit

Technically, that is the arc that Captain America followed in the original comic book canon. 

The Falcon took over the role at one point.  But then again a lot of other people did as well.  Bucky/Winter Soldier, US Agent, Nomad, etc.

I would not say technically....he took it up after cap was shot on steps of capital.  civil war into secret invasion....which was shit all over in that damn tv series.

I never liked Falcon in the comic books.  Weak ass character.  He had no superpowers at all.  Just wings to fly with and a real life bird that did more work against bad guys than he did.

But when Marvel retconned the entire franchise with the "ULTIMATES" storyline and angle, they buffed him up a bit.  No longer has a falcon to fly around with him.  But carries 2 MP5s and wings have a bladed edge.  Still weak as shit, but at least it is some kind of upgrade.

He did completely beat Colossus ass into submission though.

Can't wait for that shit show of "Thunderbolts" movie.  The bumbling russian white bufoon....the sneaky untrustworth american white male.  The strong powerful female leaders.   They are going make the sentry a total pussy.

OK, ALMOST everything, maybe one of the Thor movies and Captain Brie Marvel were sub par. But even Captain Marvel was supposedly a good film, I just can't stand Brie Larsen so I couldn't sit through her smug facial expression  for 2 hours. But everything else was very well done. Though, I confess I didn't watch one or 2 of the early Iron Man movies. I read all those comics as a kid though. And the movies stack up pretty well.

I thought Civil war was a little boring, but as with most of the MCU movies during the first 3 phases it was acclaimed by both critics and fans.

*EDIT* I see from your your previous comments on my initial post that you are both more familiar with the comics AND the movies than I am. After Brie Larsen saved everyone in End Game I could see the direction the movies were headed. I watched Hawkeye TV series,  WandaVision and Eternals and didn't like any of them.. haven't really watched much since other than the most recent Spiderman,  Thor Love and Thunder and GOTG 3, GOTG 3 was good, but I'm biased- that whole series holds a place for me because.. reasons- I  couldn't stomach to watch anything else.  You've been more patient than me with the new stuff. Though I thought about going to see the new Captain America, I doubt I will.

I read them at night to relax me.  I fall asleep better when I do mindless stuff.  I use "getcomics.com" to download.  I read the major events, not necessarily single titles.

I go to this guy when something new comes out...he's fucking hilarious.  Watch enough and you'll pick up on the things he does in a lot of them.
