I didn't get how you would infer that from the three reasons, except maybe from point one of him being a politician.  I do believe Trump actually believes some of the more outrageous stuff he says.  So in this case, I think he thought he could drop prices day one.

But I really don't care what he thinks, just what he does.

So in summary, I did not expect his election would result in instant lower prices, so I'm not upset.  I did recognize that dumbasses might believe it though, and that the media would use it as a talking point to try to undermine the admin.  So, it's mostly going as I expected.

I can't find the article but one extremely smart, from what I could tell lol, leftist wrote a substack about debating "conspiracy theorists." He said unless you are familiar with the minutia of their theories you will always lose a debate with them, so don't even start. Of course losing doesn't mean being in the wrong, but these guys may have studied the theories for decades and will bury you with facts that you have no response to. You can basically just appeal to authority
