I don't think Samson was off whereas Derek was on. Ok, maybe he was slightly more bloated but we are talking pretty minute differences. They are all pretty bloated and we think they could all stand to lose 30lbs. But they are all constantly paranoid about being "full" enough, they are convinced that the judges require it and it does seem like the judges reward it. Even during prep they are constantly refilling when they go "flat," and I read somewhere Hany Rambod didn't take on clients who used ephedrine since it's a vasoconstrictor, they take all sorts of things to instead increase blood flow during training. Even the training is geared towards getting as big a pump as possible, Rambod's FST-7 training system or wtf it's called lol. I think this is all a bit silly from several angles but whatever...

But as said, quite an achievement on Derek's part and now everyone is thinking whether he can repeat at the O.

I agree,but let me put it this way.....if they were all the exact same height, rather short or tall,they would all look eerily similar.

Lots of people have said the same as you. Back many decades ago someone was known for his arms, another for his legs, yet another was the ab guy. Now everything is big on everyone, even the abs are in proportion if you think about it

Maybe As I'm older I'm looking through rose tinted glasses , only I don't think so.
