Ok so I w ent back and watched the part where it went off the rails. JD Vance talks about President Trump and his diplomacy to which Zelenskyy says “what diplomacy, JD, are you talking about?”  guy it’s bad enough you show up looking like a slob, but to refer to the VP by his initials instead of addressing him with the respect he deserves, fuck that. VP referred to him as President so that level of respect should be reciprocated. I don’t like it happened in front of cameras, but that little dude needed a reality check.

And thus Pax Americana declined for the lack of pomp and dresscode

I did read a snippet somewhere that Donald extended Russia sanctions another year? At the sane time, though, he is looking for business deals in Russia and Putin agreed, and someone said it could start in the second quarter already. CNN, of course, had some expert saying most companies would be wary of starting doing business in Russia again at this point in time and that sounds logical enough to me.

What mainstream press gives more of a Trumpian POV? I've tried looking at Fox but it looks like a gossip rag to me. CNN seems to give the mainstream Dem view and someone said Sky news gives the UK mainstream view

I get my news from Getbig, BBC and lately, News Nation.

The NeoCons had the CIA overthrew the elected Ukrainian government (pro Russia) and installed him as Pres.

The plan was to permanently weaken Russia so they would never again be a threat.

Ukraine was the Proxy, a pawn in this plan.  Nobody cared about Ukraine.  They are just a tool.

This plan failed and the reverse happened.  Russia is now stronger and has retaken its place as a Superpower.

U.S. goals have changed and now Ukraine is no longer important.

So the U.S. is bailing out on Ukraine to focus on China and the Pacific.

The EU wants to keep the U.S. focused on Europe and will do everything they can to keep the U.S. engaged in the war.

The EU and Britain can't do it alone as they are militarily weak and economically in bad shape.

I haven’t found a mainstream media news source that I can fully trust. Fox stands apart from CNN, ABC, and NBC but I still can’t bring myself to watch it. They don’t just report what’s happening, they’re trying to dictate what I should think. All of them have their biases, I get that, but Fox makes it far too obvious. PBS uses fewer loaded terms which I appreciate. Still, it’s the same old stories as everyone else just with less slant in the language. It isn't a fresh perspective.

I end up reading a lot of mainstream and nonmainstream stuff and then forming my opinion based off of multiple sources which is not efficient.

Everything is biased, how could it not be. My nephew taunted me and said I'm swallowing Russian propaganda whole when he saw me watch Jeffrey Sachs or whoever lol. I said of course more pro-Russian sites and podcasts are biased but so is the other side... this snot nosed kid trying to tell me I'm a gullible old fool lol. I end up looking at mostly dissident, non-mainstream stuff but I try to stay critical It irritates the hell out of me when different news sites say they deliver objective news, whether mainstream or dissident.
I heard that today children are taught "analysis" from like 5 years old, before they have learned many facts, and there's lots of criticism that all media is too analytical when reporting news, instead of delivering the "facts."

Im not really political so I cant comment on all of this.

The one thing I hate is how they were all making a big deal of his "dress code." Big deal, its clothes. I absolutely abhor tradition, norms, values, mores, when it comes to authoritarianism. Big deal, its the white house, a building. Who cares. I really despise how people/societies/communities, etc, cling to these authoritarian ways. Although, its my own hang up. Whatever.
