I think most of you guys would be as skeptical as I am, had you been watching developments unfold in Thailand over the last couple of weeks....the very period that this thread has seen most activity by "Gary Strydom".  As a result of power outages in the apartment block Gary stays in, communicating with the "real Gary" during this period has been difficult. Last week in one of the e-mails he got through to me he said that whilst the city had been ordered to evacuate he was staying his ground because he felt he could not desert his girlfriend and family.  He is a month out from the Pro World Masters and just before the floods hit was sounding extremely positive saying he was in the shape of his life and as ready as ever for the show.  Then the floods hit and he began running out of food and water.......he told me he was out of rice, yams, asparagus and other fresh produce....couldn't get chicken and was battling to get fresh water....even having to cook his oatmeal in Gatorade and living on that and tinned tuna.  If you know Gary and how much he eats and how particular he is over the choice of his foods you'll understand how stressed about the situation he must be. His personal chef had fled up north to see to his family, all the shops, pharmacies etc in his area had closed too...so Gary was really battling and starting to sound despondent.  Anyone that's entered shows at a reasonably high level will understand the level of anxiety and mental stress one typically goes through a month out from the show......and thats without having to deal with living in the centre of a catastrophic flood!  So all this in mind I'm not sure Gary would have the time nor mind-set to be partaking in a "gimmick thread"

There's a video there where Bob is the MC at the Colorado show. See what he says about Gary at the end of his posing routine. "Hows that for 46 years old" That says it all.
