I think it's fully understandable to have doubt regarding these things, and these doubts will only ever be exacerbated by the toxic nature of social media. We expose ourselves to the worst aspects of human beings online, where personalities and situations are contrived in order to elicit strong emotions from viewers, as that is what generates money. That is very true and important to be aware of. As I have learned that in relationships romantic or friendly, you can never take back a hurtful comment, and it will always be etched in their mind what you said and thought about them.

I swear there is a saying about the weight of a compliment versus a complaint.

Hate to say it, but what you say is so true in general.  With an ex, I was very good with validating...complimenti ng....supporting....yet all that shit went out the window because a ONE TIME argument in the gym happened.  Fuck that.  Learned a lot from that relationship.

The problem is their perception of reality is so far off base.

But beyond that, imagine being born a woman, you know you will always be physically weaker than the other half of the population.  And you are constantly told that despite being equally as a capable as a man, you will never make as much or get tge same opportunities as a man. Then after all that, just by the nature of it you have to be submissive to a man.

It wouldn't take long to figure out how to lie, manipulate,  gaslight and when all else fails, use sex to get what you want. There's no end to the number of men's lives you'd ruin and not think twice about it- and most of them don't think twice-if at all.

Just two days ago, my brother and his son were sleeping over at my place, both were a bit drunk and my brother went to sleep. My nephew said to me, psst, I figured out my dad's laptop password, let's look at what he was arguing about with this bitch (family drama involving my nephew somewhat). I said no fucking way, don't look at your dad's private shit. I didn't want drama so I didn't raise a more of stink right there but told my brother later.
