Pretty unexpected result?

I was surprised but I don't know much about fighting :D
No one was expecting this .Mariusz had been fighting since 2009   and  was obviously winner prior to this fight on the paper ,even though his opponents were  nobodies .This was shock .Think  Tyson on top of his game losing to Buster Douglas .
If Mariusz somehow managed to drag it into 2nd or 3rd round Eddie would gassed out .Like BigRo has mentioned in one of his posts “Win is a win”.

Just example of actual odds. Van has mentioned he does not   follow MMA so he obviously knows Tyson.

Good points,  though Pudz was never top of his game..
I expected him to win but its not like Eddie is some push over and he's fought more recently than mariusz who lost his last fight in 2022

Even with poor technique, Eddie has considerable mass to cause damage. Once that right hook landed, it was game over to Mariuz Pudzianenko. Same with Bob Sapp, zero skills, just brute force.

Even with superior mass, Eddie would lose to any Top 10 UFC middle or light hw fighter.

Hell, he´d lose even to the Top 10 Lightweight fighters in the UFC

Islam Makhachev

Arman Tsarukyan

Charles Oliveira

Justin Gaethje

Max Holloway

Dustin Poirier

etc

You may be right, but I bet none of those would actually risk doing a fight with Eddie. Who disagrees?

Brian Shaw struggled grappling with Poirier, in a no holds barred fight you have to go with Shaw, even a glancing blow would fuck Dustin up

Probably.  Still, Ernesto Hoost lost twice to Bob Sapp. Hoost was the best of the best.

Just watched an interview with Eddie on talksport mma.
Didn't come across arrogant or anything.
Did say if the money is big he wouldn't say no to most fight scenarios, said brock lesner is one of the last people on the planet he'd want to fight, he's one of the scariest men on the planet.
Did say he'd happily fight jake and logan paul.

Jake’s focus is boxing only  he has mentioned numerous times he wants to be taken seriously and be legit ranked boxer with shot at the champion’s belt .Money is no motivation for Jake /he has plenty /.He would not clown around with Eddie and move backwards ,unless some Saudi prince throws crazy prize money IMO.
Eddie can’t box so he has to pick MMA fights where he stands better chance to use his strength to do some wrestling and such.

no he doesnt or he would be working through the ranks fighting for small purses

He would get fucked up by an average pro at his weight

I was also pleased that Eddie was humble and polite with no circus this time around .
Even apologized for illegal punches .

As much as I'd love to shit on Jake and his brother Logan. Jake probably could become a legit boxer and Logan has been surprisingly good in the WWE as a wrestler.

I can’t stand that youtube fag either ,but I do agree with you Jake could do something in boxing if he commits to it 110%.

Big difference between legit pro boxer and world champion.

Sure, but you still need to be ridiculously good (and dedicated) to become a legit pro.

If he's setting his goal to become a world champion and only manages to become a legit pro then he made it like 99% of the way there.

That’s pathetic. Pudz who’s been fighting for how long lost to fat Eddie. I would retire fast and hide.
In all fairness Pudz is smaller and older now, Eddie is a force to be reckoned with, the true strongest man ever

Eddie should have been disqualified due to punching him in the back of the head.
