Not what he’s saying. He’s saying you have to include your children in your will. But let’s say you want to give it to a charity or friend? Why should your kids get your assets if you want it to go elsewhere?

? I didn’t say anything has to go to your children. I was commenting about laws. You can give your money to who or whatever you want and you have to have a designated recipient, unless you’re married, to receive what is yours unless you want the state to take control of the distribution of your assets.  .

There are many institutions and people that have proven they can’t effectively handle money. But I don’t think government will be responsible with most people assets.

I think the kids might end up inheriting everything. He had left his entire estate to his wife, but since she passed away before him, the will essentially became void. With no one else named in the document, the estate likely defaults to the children. In a way, they got lucky - he had Alzheimer's and she died just days before he did.

I started watching Gene Hackman movies again since his passing. He was probably one of the top 10 best actors ever to be in pictures. He will be missed.

Yes. I mentioned to my mom a few months ago that Hackman was still kicking at 95. Then a few weeks later I read on Getbig: "Was Hackman Murdered?" Was a shock even though we knew he was getting close to the end. Hackman already looked old in the 70s when he made the French Connection movies. He won an Oscar for one of them. I always enjoyed his performances, he exuded self-confidence.
