Always pops up on my feed. From easy ticket for expired DL or registration they turn that situation into arrest for their ghetto attitude and stupidity and in some cases even running/driving off and getting even more violations.Most cops are very calm and respectful after being called names and harassed.Always starts with big mouth yelling and ends with crying in the back seat of a cop’s car.

I've no experience of American Cops but in some videos I've seen they're pretty aggressive but some city areas are rough & given the amount of guns in the population I'd be probably the same as them.
In the rare occasions I'm stopped by the Cops here I just act very polite & cooperative but obviously I don't give anything away that might be negative & used against me.
If in doubt say nothing & don't argue

This. Stop would have probably gone fine with a "I'm sorry officer, I though I could use the other lane."  As they say, "You can probably beat the charge, but you can't beat the ride." Usually when these things start off confrontationally, they end bad.

I have one arrest from 1999 for a very small amount of marijuana so I’m aware that there are ridiculous cowboys out there.

The drug (sorry Bhank) is now no longer illegal in NYS showing how stupid the whole thing was and now that shows up any time I fly anywhere— although I only got questioned about it once 15 years ago.

This interrogation was memorable. It's uneventful, but funny how the investigator says, "look at me when I talk to you!" and it's him who had to break eye contact. The guy never breaks character, his weird manner of speaking. Maybe it's not an act.

Even if the officer makes up a fake reason to pull you over, it's unlikely you getting confrontational will help the situation.  But in most of the uploaded bodycam videos the guy or girl is in the wrong. Obviously bodycam helps the criminal too, the cops are more likely to behave, otherwise it must be almost impossible to not get emotions involved at least some of the time.

I assume that the cops knew exactly who he was. And the cops respected his service (and his skills).

SEALS often have drug issues. I think this SEAL was high on drugs and he was scaring people, so they called the cops.

Cops probably knew that he didn’t commit any crime. But they have to respond. Can’t have people high on drugs screaming in the street at night.
