I don’t know much about veins like this but aren’t these big bloated veins under serious pressure and couldn’t they blow at any second?

Anything is possible but I think it is unlikely that they would "blow" like a spurting blood vessel you see in movies. More likely he'll gradually get progression of his disease and eventually nonhealing ulcers.

You're probably right, but I once used one of those old-school Schering Primobolan Redijects to stick in someone's thigh - the ones where the pin was like a knitting needle - and that must have hit a blood vessel as when it came out there was a proper jet of blood

And on a vaguely related note, some time back I scratched my balls a bit too aggressively while in the bathroom.  When I looked down the blood was indeed spurting a fair distance away from me - couple of feet maybe - quite startling TBH

So we can but hope for a similar dramatic incident from Walker

Hmm..  Well it was a surface vein on my scrote for sure (sorry if that's a bit vivid!  )

As for the dude's leg it was the usual outer lateral position - mid thigh - so don't think it could have been an artery?  Those redi-ject pins were so big though - like the fella on the right here - so it left a decent hole in his leg  .  After that we pulled the Primo from the pen into a normal green pin as the stuff was pretty thick

the jet of blood thing happened to me once, thigh shot, took out the needle and then while I was throwing it in the waste bin I noticed specs of blood on my bed, there was a fine jet of blood coming out from the injection site.
I slapped my hand over it and held it and it stopped.
Only thing I can think is I injected into a vein and pushed the plunger causing pressure which pushed back after I took the needle out.

Yeah, that description of a "fine jet" covers what I did to my lower regions.  That fella nearly passed out when he saw the blood - quite substantial - he actually went grey/green like he'd smoked too much weed.  We applied pressure and it stopped but he had a nice little bruise that was like a long stripe for quite a while.  And oh boy did we give him shit for a while after that - "are you going to faint again?" LOL

The things we did to our younger selves... (smh)

I couldnt see the jet initially just the spotting on the bed, then I realised where it was coming from, I did have some swelling and bruising at the site for a while.

I'm going to tell the absolute truth here - I saw the blood on the floor, then the toilet seat, and I immediately thought I'd somehow bled from my arse - that doesn't make sense but my Dad and his Dad both died of bowel cancer so I've always felt like I'm being stalked by the Grim Reaper in that area so I have maybe an irrational fear in that regard...

It took me a good few seconds to trace the actual source and give it a pinch - waves of relief...
