Rock takes talent. The band had to get along, if they got along the great bands had synergy; they were greater than the sum of their parts, they had to be really good at their instruments, write their music, write their lyrics. Good producers then tour, music videos.
No one ASKED for rap and those who wanted rap didn't care about it replacing rock.
Basically rap is virtually talentless bloated whores and high AF knee-grows talking, angrily, over electronic beats. And, even though they flaunt money, they don't really earn money.
They're dumb, useless, their product is dumbed down and it's fed to a dumbed down generation.
Years ago Prince- a great musician and artist was talking about record companies screwing the artist, and people's general attitude was 'oh boo hoo, who gives a shit? You're a fucking rock star living in a mansion!' Well, the music companies gave a shit.
We will never get Led Zeppelin IV, Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon, The Beatles Abbey Road, The Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street etc...ever again. Rap Music is made by fat, drunk and stupid whores, for the entertainment of fat drunk and stupid whores all so rich He Brews get richer.
