So after four days of bullshitting everyone (Mayor Karen Bass and Gov Newsom) saying they dont need more police, national guard, etc,  last night exploded in downtown Los Angeles with rioters lootings and destroying things (keep in mind these are NOT the protestors).  Police just could not do anything but watch and trying to block them, but were outnumbered.  Pathetic.  Now today, they impose a curfew, and are bringing in 800 more police officers from other areas to help out.

Sadly, this should of been done a few days ago, but nope, the area near downtown has to be someone destroyed for her to do anything.


Also, keep in mind that this is just a small 4 or 5 block radius in downtown by the federal buildings, not the other parts of Los Angeles (which is vast).  Most areas in downtown Los Angeles are fine, aka the Convention Center Districts, and others, but the news is centered right where the rioters and protestors are.

Because of the defunding, shortage of LE (LAPD/LASD) and applications being way down, cops are forced to work an enormous amount of OT. This is dangerous and puts cops lives at risk. I have a couple of friends that work LAPD and LASD working upwards of 90hrs+ per week already.

During the 92 riots it spread throughout the city that first night when the criminals realized there were nowhere near enough cops.  The Sav-on on Rose and Lincoln was burned down, far from South Central.  3 days of curfew starting that night is my recollection, until the national guard showed up.  It's not spreading shows it isn't organic or heavily supported.
