I've never owned a dog so I know nothing but along the years I've seen some mentions that a dog can get aggressive towards its owner if he gets sick, frail and weak? Another thing I found interesting was a claim that if the owner dies, for example in a home and he is alone with the dog the dog will start eating him after like 5-7 days, whereas a cat will do that after 3 days? You guys' dogs would never eat you though, right? Do you leave large potentially dangerous dog alone with small children?

Maybe people anthropomorphize dogs way too much like Phantom said.
