Might it be that they want him relatively high in this situation? I have no idea, thought just popped into my head. Say if you want good perfusion into organs. Someone here might know?  :D
I just know if someone loses weight quickly BP usually tanks, that was the case for me when I was in the hospital.

Sometimes they allow for "permissive hypertension" after a stroke. That's usually done at the direction of a neurologist for a specific timeframe and for specific types of strokes. I don't know if this situation would apply.

175/108, holy shit, and that's presumably on hospital BP meds.   :o

Probably erroneous.  He’s got big arms and may have been moving around which would impact the blood pressure readings.

Interesting, thanks.

I read one thing I thought was interesting, when early BP meds were used they put older folks quickly into what they thought were ideal BP ranges but mortality increased. The explanation was that older organs needed higher pressure to get blood perfusion. As I understand it BP increases with age and they may allow higher BP for older folks?

You might get different answers depending on who you ask. I think generally the BP will go up as arteries harden and stiffen with age. But older folks might not tolerate the meds as well. They get more light headedness or dizziness especially when standing. If they're frail or have other medical issues sometimes the side effects of medications have to be balanced against the quality of their remaining life. So, some doctors might give a little more leeway with the targeted BP range. But I think in that situation it is for quality of life and not to get more blood flow to the organs.

The target range is now under 120/80 which is kind of bonkers.  If you have 115/85 you have "hypertension" and might qualify for meds, lol.

Meanwhile the average bodybuilder is at like 140/95 year round.

Just got out of neck surgery.

What’s the hospital bill? Gotta be at? I’m guessing 100 K right now.

Aint he Canadian? Assuming he was on holiday in the US and had Travel insurance then that probably covers it.

$50 to $100 travel insurance covers several $millions in bills

Yes, he’s Canadian. Yeah plus his business I think his headquartered in the US. So he definitely has insurance.

The question does Travel Insurance cover riding a  motorcycle?

To be able to drive around going 100mph on a bike and to be covered for $100 is a sweet deal.

Not entirely sure it would cover negligence.  If he is at fault this has the potential to go sideways and end in a go fund me

There are several policies that do. Even more options if it's your own bike.

It was definitely, his own bike

Regardless, should be dead soon or bankrupt
