Eubank Jr. needs to walk away from this one. There's a rehydration clause, too. It's incredibly dangerous for him, and the fine here is simply petty.

Yes, he will lose money, but the scumbag promoters will lose more. I hope someone smashes Eddie Hearn's face in. He's been asking for it for years.

Eubank Sr. has the correct take:

the only thing he was wrong about was when he said "we are not a country of baboons."

haha, yeah, I guess he's not been to London in a while. Now all the talking is done, and the fight seems to be going ahead, I do hope he makes an appearance. If he genuinely feels as if his son is walking to the gallows, he should be walking with him. I've always respected Eubank Sr.

He's a genuinely tough guy. Apparently as a youngster he did some bird.

Stamford House Remand Home for juvenile delinquents, yeah. He's as tough as they come. A wild character, but wonderfully eccentric and never lacking in courage.

Nigel Benn was another good boxer ..an ex Fusilier.

Benn was a hero of mine as a young amateur. I tried to base my style on his, and I'd watch his fights constantly. I had a few people say I reminded them of Benn after a competition once and it was the greatest compliment.

One of my old coaches fought him in an army bout. Got battered, haha. Another old coach of mine fought Derek Chisora and got battered, too. As they say, 'those who can't, teach.' :D

One of the guys who trained us was a small guy from i think Jamaica & he worked in our Armoury & stores.
when i first met him he was always grinning & honestly i thought who the fuck is this guy.
was as hard as nails & i remember being told a story of him Boxing against a Para. He confirmed the story as i asked him about it.. he was fighting this guy & he raised a hand to distract the guy & it worked & he punched the guy & won.
I remember some called him Toot Toot but he was a great guy.
he said to me one time before a meal drink a large glass of water if trying to lose weight !

I don't really know much about Sr but happened on some YT shorts of him talking, and he has these almost exaggerated gentlemanly good manners and honorable behavior and correct use of language, not at all negro ghettoish. Everyone in the comments is mighty impressed :D

Lol. No. He tries hard, but fails miserably.

Great character though. ITV fight nights in the 80s/90s with guys like Eubank and Benn were amazing.

Agree.

In his prine he always found a way to win.

The Watson fight truly affected him but was still dangerous right up to the end of his career. Dude always looked like he was chilled out of teak.

Eubanks should win. The weight issue is a mystery.  He just fought at 160 in December.  If Eubanks is truly weight drained he'll fade quickly in the fight. But my guess is he's too strong for Benn.

Benn was a welterweight but hasn't been active since his suspension. But I'm rooting for him, Eubanks JR. Doesn't have his dad's charm. Eubank Sr. Was likable as the bad guy. Eubanks Jr. Is just an arrogant prick.

He was a true eccentric,  in his prime he was very dynamic. Unbelievably confident. Totally unpredictable.

There were fights of his that were absolute wars. Then there were fights of his that were 9 rounds of sleep inducing boredom,  then he'd suddenly explode and knock out his opponent

He was one of my favorites to follow back in the 90's made it to 44-0 before he finally lost a fight.

I haven't followed boxing but in some new clip he said he even won some he should have lost, if I'm not mistaken he somewhat disagreed with one loss. This impressed the commentariat, they said it was rare any boxer admitted they ever got a gift :D

Did you catch it? Man, that was special. All the bullshit from Hearn and others aside, those two really gave it their all. What a night for British boxing; incredibly nostalgic. Loved seeing the Benn and Eubank Sr. on the ring-walks.

He is the opposite of Negro Ghettish tho!

I would talk to him!
