28 Years Later - movie review
« on: June 20, 2025, 12:18:28 PM »
It shit the bed.  I don't know where all these great reviews are coming from.  It can't be the same movie.  The one I saw was about a sissy ass whining boy and an Alpha zombie that looked like Bruiser Brody that they couldn't stop showing his dick every chance they got.

I realize half of the board is a bunch of closet fags, so maybe you could like the movie.

It had so much potential.  They could have done something with this.  But other than the name, it didn't have a damn thing in common with the last two films.  They could have named it anything else in the world instead of ruining the "28" name by calling it this.

Before I read this, is there a spoiler in there? Saw 28 days later a few times in college, might have seen 28 weeks later once but can’t remember. Do I need to rewatch the series to understand the new one?

No spoiler.  Except the entire movie was spoiled.   You don't need a refresher viewing of the two previous ones.  Honestly, it had fuck all to do with the "28" franchise other than having "28" in it.  Story wise,  it could have been a decent stand alone movie.  With it's own sequels and trends.  But.... nope.

Below is a spoiler so if you plan to see it, don't scroll down.  Then again, people are already talking about it online.

***

That ending.....   who the fuck wrote, authorized, filmed and produced a bunch of pale ass fairy colored  group of Power Ranger rejects jumping down in their bright, spotlessly cleaned Pride Month nod colored outfits and going Bruce Lee on that group of zombies?  Honest to god...  ::)

You sound like you had an intense emotional reaction to seeing Cillian's dick

You sound like you are having an intense emotional reaction to be yet going to the theater and seeing that massive zombie schlong over and over.

What's the matter?  Your season pass not arrive in the mail yet?

First off, theater is where you go to watch a play. Cinema is where they show films.

I have an 70 inch OLED tv and a dolby atmos soundsystem so unless a Nolan film is playing I am going fucking nowhere

Settle down McChucklefuck.  It's going to be at the theater for a couple of months, so plenty of time to go there and indulge in your Dick of Death fantasies.

1st 1/4 of the movie had amazing promise. Once he went out with his mother to the mainland it just feel apart and was absolute garbage.

I was very disappointed. They did not do the series justice with this crap

This is disappointing to hear. The first one was great, the second one was decent and I had high hopes for this.
This one is supposed to be part one of a trilogy, looks like it might have failed at the first hurdle.

I was never bored but I agree after the kid went with his mother it was less engaging and also a very bad idea after what he'd experienced with his dad.  I'd never watch again but will watch the next part.
Films are never what I want these days.

The whole vibe of the movie changed. It was suspenseful with cool dark shots of the zombies at night with blaring red eyes etc during the 1st quarter of it.  then just got campy.
