I don't want to sound cold hearted, but what kind of responsibility does a say 17 year old have when she goes with men?

Someone I know was in a service job when she was a teen and from a very young age she was getting much attention from male customers, she would tell stories about strange men bringing gifts to her at work. Her mom appeared proud because she was getting attention for her good looks. Absolutely disastrous behavior by her mom imo. Any reasonable parent would say you do not accept any fucking gifts from strange men, I would think Now she's been a professional whore for years and she learned early how the get what she wanted by leveraging her sex appeal. But even with bad "advice" there's a degree of personal responsibility imo. Some cold hearted people were saying Epstein's victims deserved what they got for being whores, probably seasoned ones by the time Epstein came around. Probably got paid well too. I wouldn't go that far, but I don't think it's like exactly at turning 18 you now are responsible and weren't at all just before that and are just a victim. Thoughts?

On another note regarding the “sex trafficking”. Logically, I agree that it doesn’t make much sense for someone to go to sleep at 17, unable to make certain decisions for themselves, and then wake up at 18 suddenly equipped to do so. But society needs a clear cutoff, and I think 18 is a fair marker for legal purposes.

Guy I know died recently and his wife of 18 months got all his money and property worth several millions , his three kids got £10k each

Sounds like she had a strong case of victim syndrome. Im yet to meet a junkie without a similar story. In the end true or not, she left three kids behind and had been estranged to them. Many trauma victims heal their lives through having their own children and giving them a life they wished they had had.  I won't say anymore. I hope she finds the peace in death that escaped her in life.
