Sounds just like (blank).

I tried to help Ro but he ignored my advices.

Not true, I have not made a video since that one a couple months ago. You never said anything blatently false like many others.

Well, then, concentrate on keeping your hands up.

Use the bag as an opponent, not just something to wail on.

Well, then, concentrate on keeping your hands up.

There are other forms of defense too and it depends if one is within range, personally I think excessive high guard shows timidity, and offense can be the best defense.

I'd only want to get hit in the head so nothing important would be hurt.

I don't think it's all so benign and what better way to demonstrate superior power, speed and technique than if all the flamers show how its done, thought not.

Powerlifting, contrary to the name, does not develop explosive power.

If you want explosive power do movements like power cleans, snatch pulls, plyometrics, sprints. etc.

I have no data but I think world class powerlifters would have very good box jumps, intial speed in sprinting and so on. I think there's a very strong correlation on these with max strength. Ben Johnson did "powerlifting," supposedly a very good squat and so on.  Although powerlifting is slow you have to be fast, at least you have to 'turn on' very fast, otherwise you won't be at max potential numbers. Louie Siimmons had his speed lifting days where you only used like 50% of max, to learn speed-strength, others have argued you will become faster just by becoming stronger. If someone knows better correct me...

Edit. First result on google:

"The single best correlate of maximum sprinting speed was the force applied at 100 ms (relative to bodyweight) from the start of a loaded jumping action (concentric contraction) (r = 0.80, p = 0.0001). SSC measures and maximum absolute strength were more related to maximum sprinting speed than starting ability."

So to me logically powerlifters are also very explosive and fast.

I agree, it would have it's place in a program, more than time under tension hypertrophy work.

Grinding out slow, maximum reps does not efficiently develop explosive power.

Is it completely ineffective?  No.

This is why NFL players do lots of plyos and power cleans.

Why is it so important to you that people think you are good at boxing? You're a bodybuilder, you're good at that, why can't you accept that you are not good at boxing?

Because it is not true and I refuse to wear bodybuilder like a cage, for my body, for my spirit and my voice.
