« on: April 28, 2025, 01:37:39 PM »
I train in the morning. Anyone else who does, do you find it better to train empty or with something in? I know soul crusher goes empty but hes a superhero and eats dynamite

I usually train with an empty stomach but if I feel my blood sugar drop, I will definitely eat some carbs

I train in the morning also and just have a cup of coffee with halfnhalf.

Get up at 6 am and start workout 7:30 - 8 am.

The coffee kicks in and I feel ready to do it.

I don't know if it's ideal to train with "empty blood" for building purposes but perhaps it doesn't matter; I go fasted often. A compromise could be about 10 grams of EAA with some HBCD carbs during the workout in a very diluted solution for fastest absorption and to not weigh you down. Even like 30 grams of carbs could help blood sugar and performance. Add electrolytes or just a pinch of salt.

If it's a more cardio focussed workout then empty stomach. I might sip on some coconut water or pineapple juice.

If I have do a weights on an empty stomach I just eat a slice of cake or an eclair during the workout, a small mouthful at a time. Learnt it from Kai Greene (no homo) Can't explain why, but it seems to work really well.

If I train early like before 7 I'll have a little something so insulin levels don't drop. If I train later I've already had a meal or two in me so levels are already spiked.

I skip breakfast in the morning during the weekdays, so always empty then. I will eat breakfast on the weekends so I wait to exercise until before lunch. I’m not sure why, but I feel better to workout in the morning on an empty stomach.

I bet IronNat agrees with this eggs & Cottage cheese, I do not like weight training in the morning but i like doing my cardio ( going for a cycle )
I need to eat 1 hour -1.5 hours before i go for a ride.

Coffee is always my pre workout supplement. Nothing better.
