Europe Power Outage?
« on: April 28, 2025, 02:41:22 PM »

Spain, Portugal and France?

Blamed on a climate event.

Remember we were told Climate Lockdowns were coming. If you have no power they won’t allow people to roam about freely because of the inevitable looting in 1-3 day span.

fWIW I basically have a solar giggawatt array on my house yet when the power goes down I don’t get power because it’s connected to a signal in the grid. power is down= no grid  signal=stops my house accessing solar. You need a battery to make it through blackouts.

Joswift, did their bird flu “program” fail to gain enough traction?  So they switched to power outages?

Could this be why they didn’t want people to have gas stoves?

My house (Netherlands) is heat by burning natural gas but that installation uses electricity. Power outage = no heating.

I guess if people cook by burning natural gas that could be done without electricity. But the gas network needs to be kept under pressure.
A bit like a petrol and diesel fuel station. The pumps work on electricity.

Not France — France is a nuclear power, dependent on no one. Not yet dependent on windmills and magical mirrors.

Oh shit really? Makes a battery pointless in that case.

Apparently Spain are moving to a program of 1 day a week using only renewables and people have to deal with blackouts.

Side note: I follow a computer friend on Strava who's into biking and stuff who lives in Roosendaal. His pictures of the Netherlands are beautiful! You're lucky to live there. I can't imagine what it was like to grow up there. Love to visit.

Aust won't be far behind friend. Leftist madness, renewables are not reliable, still need coal and gas baseload but Europe and Australia seem intent on going backwards. Whilst the US China will now ignore climate targets.  European type big government corporate socialism is here to stay. Europeans and their elites have always been reluctant capitalists anyway. Madness if you ask me. nothing is going to stop the climate from changing it's been doing it well before industrialisation.

yep and with the upcoming election this weekend labor will likely get in but only with a coalition with the greens (for non aussies, the greens party used to be called the international socialists but they rebranded to be trendier and got more votes. Older people call them the watermelon party - green on the outside red to the core) whiich means albanese will have to suck their cocks quite a lot to get stuff through parliament. We're heading for a terrible 4 years. I honestly hope the polling is wildly inaccurate

Europe is now running Europe
The UK is doing exactly the same under labour as it did under the tories, an open border policy and now Labour is fast tracking it.
They are now going to offer landlords 5 year contracts on their properties to pay all utilities and renovation improvements if they let migrants in.
I see a lot of evictions coming if this gets passed

Each country in Europe is being told what to do from a central point, most likely the World Economic Forum.

Oh, and the Reform party isnt the answer either, it would just be more of the same.

Apparently the UK power network was acting weird a couple of hours before all this.

Might have been a cyber attack

Looks like they’ve thwarted my cunning plan. Bastards.

The big push for us down here is green metal exports. We are going huge solar farms already and we can mine ore and smelt it. We used to do oodles of metal production in the past so it’s very easy to turn it back on down here. It’s a good plan as many mines are closing down anyway, they’ll all go into metals.

Climate change is just a message to allow change. You can’t really blame world leaders given people’s total reluctance to change. So they create events to do it by force.

I’m not into politics but I usually just say whatever puts food on my own table I’ll go for. Free medical and tax cuts people will get behind. Liberal pushing nuclear power is a topic from 2022 and gets lost. They should push what people want right now, free medical, tax cuts, lower rates, lower inflation.

Planning / designing a “compound” for thrrr generations to live on. Children have their own places but will have a land for each and a place to all come to should anything happen and they’ve not built on the property. Will be fully solar - also have a couple 1,000 gallon propane tanks . May add a larger gasoline tank as well. Buddy of mines dad always had 1,000 gallons of gasoline back in the &0’s. We would fill up anytime we went there. Gas was only 89 cents the . Already have generators both solar and gas/propane hybrid. But will get a few more for each family. Houses will have solar and we will share a wells I’ll hook up to city but have a transfer valve for switching. And yes - a shit pot stockpile of weapons and ammunition. I may or may not have some grenades and access to acquire claymore. I
May all sound crazy as fck but when the bubble goes up and shit hits the fan - I want our family to have the best chance. Hopefully it never happens - but we are GUARANTEED to have major hurricanes and flooding. So we are building on exceedingly high ground. The next Katrina won’t even inconvenience us

I don’t trust the government with shit - they won’t take care of you. If you get a little at a time you can stock up years worth of food that will last 25 years or longer
