No. Seems like a 3rd tier show. Doesn't even has men's bodybuilding.
The Nationals were held last weekend. A friend of mine won the under 80kg category. He is shorter than Lee Priest.
Great beach at Carcavelos though, warm water.

It is paradise. Many foreigners moving there or Estoril  .No brainer if they  have some decent  pension .Why stay for example  in miserable UK where rains non-stop if you can chill in beautiful beach towns with still close proximity to big city /Lisbon/.

Far from paradise. Specially in the summer time where many "youths" go there. Hasn't got any better with the massive migration from Brazil.

I’ve  only heard about that area from  guy who competes in other IFBB fed. under Santoja and they do bunch of shows over there .He described it as  really  nice place. But you are local so I take your word for it.

I have been there a few times and it's ok. But some friends from Lisbon, who now live up north (where i live), don't rate it as being a great place to spend time in the summer, due to the commotion and being a magnet for trashy people. Tons of jellyfish in the water also.

I am impressed that Santonja is still around. The oligarc of Spanish IFBB. Must have been leading it for 20 years or more.

Rafael has been around for 30-40  years .He was with Weiders bros  way before Manion and after Weiders died none of them wanted to be IFBB vice president ,both wanted to be in charge ,so split was inventible.
Sanonja is loaded AF ,his house is like castle with huge garden .Those entry fees, amateurs and pro cards paid well.
