Vance is too annoying to win anything.

You should wait and see what loser the Democrats nominate first.

They don't really have anyone appealing who will bring anything unique or different to the table.

That said, the Rs should get their shit together a bit as well and take heed at the mayoral race results in NYC and Miami

Yes I did, because she was the better choice. I believe this country would be better off today had she won the election.

She claimed she couldn't close the border without a bill.

Her admin was a disaster economically.  What policies do you think she'd have passed that would make us "better off"?

I'm genuinely curious to hear this argument, because I've never heard anyone articulate their point in this context beyond "not Trump".

Specifically, Kamala Harris does not have any of the seriously disturbing personality/mental disorders with which Trump is afflicted.

Ok, so what would that translate to policy wise?

How would we be "better off".

Her admin created a lot of the problems we have now, specifically in terms of illegal immigration.

Or so Trump would like everyone to believe.

What concerns me most is what is happening currently, especially with regards to immigration enforcement (ICE) and what appears to be Trump's push to start a war with Venezuela.

Please explain how Trump is having us believe the Biden / Harris admin let in millions cross into our country illegally, and that it just didn't actually happen.  I've never heard this one.

When I wrote or so Trump would have us believe, I meant in general but also specifically about the economy, and not with immigration.

Ned Barnett's opinion article says it better than I can.

Trump’s biggest lie about the economy: I inherited a mess’

Opinion By Ned Barnett December 22, 2025

President Donald Trump’s contentious speech on the economy Wednesday night contained his usual exaggerations and falsehoods, but his most prominent lie was one that too many have come to accept as truth. Trump opened his remarks with it. Speaking of the nation’s economy, he said: “Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess.” No, he didn’t. Trump inherited a strong and improving economy and he has made a mess of it. Blaming his predecessor is the foundation of Trump’s defense of his economic bungling.

Trump campaigned as if the economy was in a free fall that only he could reverse. In a speech in Asheville in August 2024, he said, “Vote Trump and your incomes will soar, your savings will grow, young people will be able to afford a home, and we will bring back the American dream bigger, better and stronger than ever before.”

Presidents, governors, mayors, etc. inherit nothing.

They jump up and down screaming, "Pick me, pick me - I volunteer!"  Some don't even take a salary.  :D

If a president or governor dies in office, the VP or lieutenant governor inherits the mess or whatever.

I do believe every single president in your lifetime has claimed they inherited a messy economy. You can fact check that.

Under Biden, folks lost about 3k in spending power per household due to inflation which is leading to this affordability crisis.  It has come back a little, but not the entire amount.

Nobody has said how Harris would have fixed that, nor how she would have stopped illegal immigration.

She had ample opportunity to lay out a plan, but she didn't.  And when she did speak, she basically said she wouldn't have changed a thing we've done.

If she remained in office, we'd have more illegals burdening the system, woke DEI shit would still be rampant, and it's doubtful she'd negotiate the end of any conflicts.

Despite his hyperbole, I didn't believe Trump could fix the economy in a year.  I need to see how it goes next year, and if his bet on GDP growth pays off.

As usual, TDS does not allow him to articulate a specific Kamala policy without mentioning Trump.
