Who was better Phil heath or Dexter Jackson

that’s what I’m saying. I feel like Dexter really didn’t have any weak points maybe his calves but he was always ripped. Had a very good size not when it comes to Heath. We’ll know his pigeon chest was his weak point. He was huge everywhere else, but his gut was big too

Yeah he did. He blamed it on protein powders and artificial sweeteners, but he had it for a while and even when he claimed to have fixed it, it was still noticeable.

It's an issue when you're one of the smallest guys on the stage and your abs genetically have a turtle shell shape like Dexter.

Phils gut looked worse though , but he also had a hernia and it looked like he only had four pack abs

Jay never had a distended gut unless relaxed, just a wide waist and his abs looked like they had melted in some poses (odd shape and they lined up funny) It wasn't a pleasing mid section, but he controlled it well and was always flat when he posed.

It's an issue when you're one of the smallest guys on the stage and your abs genetically have a turtle shell shape like Dexter.

Phils gut looked worse though , but he also had a hernia and it looked like he only had four pack abs

Jay never had a distended gut unless relaxed, just a wide waist and his abs looked like they had melted in some poses (odd shape and they lined up funny) It wasn't a pleasing mid section, but he controlled it well and was always flat when he posed.

Heath had better arms but Dexters arms were pretty good. Heath's arms and back were his strongest points that won him shows over Jay, Kai and Rami. At damn near 50 years old Dexter very nearly beat Heath.

I would much rather have better abs and serratus than a back, but the modern era values a good back, "Sandows are won from the back etc...", while most guys today have blown out waist lines, distention and massive hernias/ gaps in the abdominal and no one cares.

Dexter was better balanced, tighter abs and won 3 times as many titles as Heath. Heath won a couple of pro shows then went on his Olympia run. Heath had like 8 or 9 first place finishes, Dexter had 26 or 27 pro victories including an Olympia.

that’s my valid point. I feel like Dexter had plenty of mass but yeah I guess that’s one way of putting it is Phil Heath had that hernia licking stomach, but I can’t get over how narrow his chest was. I don’t feel like that should be a Mr. Olympia winner but then again Dexter did have smallish calves.

Heath's site injections were very well done IMO, you couldn't really tell, except certain muscles just looked impossibly big. Dexter used Synthol and site injections (same thing) as well, shoulders, like everyone, and calves which were really bad some years. Heath had the narrow clavicles, but otherwise he looked damn amazing. There's always small weaknesses on everyone. If bodybuilding is ever exciting then Dexter wasn't really it, it was a compact and very even physique though for sure.

Phil's small chest never sat right with me.  Other than that, he was pretty good, but it never looked right in a lot of poses.
