hey iron nat there used to be a website called irongage, alot of the old pros  posted on there, they said ken waller was legitly tough along with franco . that is where i got this info from  :)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Waller

Ken Waller was born on March 20, 1942, in San Francisco, California. At the age of 12 his family moved to Jeffersonville, Indiana. He attended Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green (class of 1965), where he was a member of the undefeated 1963 Tangerine Bowl football team.A photograph of Waller still hangs in the WKU football team's locker room. Ken could often be found at the 13th St. Barber Shop near WKU where his buddies, Howard Poindexter, Fred Turner, and Slick Thurman cut hair. He went on to play professional football in Canada, after serving in the United States Marine Corps and teaching high school in Louisville.

Respectfully disagree. I mean, Arnold had his priorities and he was his own No 1 priority. He had a plan for bodybuilding and after that acting and after that politics. Arnold began making his Hollywood connections strategically and eventually used Butler & Gaines to further his own career and I the process put bodybuilding in the spotlight.

None of those guys want to admit it but without Arnolds ambition they never would've had a spotlight outside of the small world of bodybuilding. Yeah, Arnold hogged the attention and the money but without him there would be no 'attention'. As far as the money goes, he should've recieved more, again it was his connections that made it possible.

When I was there Zane was real quiet, didn't banter around with Arnold, Columbu, Robinson or anybody....Didn't see him hanging out with the rest of them either.

I can describe Waller in one word.....Surly....He worked the front desk at Golds and wasn't a friendly guy.

No Arnold had a plan for Arnold..he's an utter prick

Who the fuck else is he supposed to have a plan for? Zane? Lou? Robby?

So none of these other guys were out making any kind of connections or had any notion or plan of making a movie about bodybuilding. But Arnold did. He gets to know Butler and Gaines and works with them to make the project for the pumping iron movie. Does he not deserve the spotlight, especially given that he was by far the best bodybuilder of the era. It was pretty obvious he was going to win again.

So what was Arnold supposed to do, convince butler and Gaines to spend their time building the movie around Zane? A guy who showed up to the show in probably his worst shape- by his own words.

No. Arnold made these things happen. No one else did. He was the champion he rightfully was in the spotlight.

I just wonder why old Joe helped him so much  :-X

Maybe because he was literally the best bodybuilder on the planet and Joe ran a bodybuilding magazine. Crazy, I know. But just a bunch.

Rumor has it Joe actually lifted the weights for Arnold and dieted for him too. But it was Ben who worked his shift as a brick layer and did his college homework. Its not quite as clear who did his acting classes for him or sold real estate for him either, but undoubtedly someone helped him... probably Betty.

Actually Arnold was just a labourer for Franco & the only thing he's shown on camera was a simply built wall near the Gym
Where's all the houses he built?...just curious  :)
If it wasn't for the Weider brothers he wouldn't have been brought over & financially helped..fact

For the Weider brothers it was just about business & as we know they brought Arnold over at their expense
Joe Weider along with a few others helped him snub a few other bodybuilders who were a potential danger to Arnold
Without Weider he wouldn't have been Mr O
