Seriously, getting old sucks. Not even counting your own health and body, the longer you are "blessed" to be alive, the more people you see pass away (family, friends,  and celebrities that shaped your youth) Hogan, Izzy, and Coleman hanging by a thread.

Don't know how I'm gonna take it, if I'm around when guys like Tom Brady, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Ron Avidan, kick the bucket.

I suffered similar injury blew at discs at three levels, lost my entire rights side, pec lat delt arm opted for replacement over fusion unlike big Ron I haven't trained heavy ever since and  I was already retired. Hell of an injury and surgery process, rehab with nerves takes years and it never comes back im 18 years post op, there is still an inconsistency with fullness left to right and a weakness all be it much better than it was at the start, where there was a 4-5 inch difference in left arm to Right arm.
My taking gear days were over but even if I did grow or put weight on it favoured the side unaffected by nerve damage, causing more issues, have lost money, businesses  relationships but that was a very tough time mentally for someone like me who's been training all my life. He has my sympathy for his injuries but there is no coming back to competitive bodybuilding from nerve issues on that level look at Jay, Priest they have suffered same.

Can't imagine your stress levels at the time man. I experienced nerve damage 2 years ago. I would say I had a pinched nerve since my right side suddenly became weaker, especially mt right triceps. I stopped working out for a couple of days, did not seek any help, thought it would return to normal by itself. One day I was  behind a computer, felt some discomfort in my upper back then started stretching my neck going into flexion and  suddenly felt a sharp pain in my right upper back and some cracking in my neck. After a couple of days I went to get a massage because the pain was just too much and I was stiff AF. It was much more tolerable after the massage but a few days later I noticed my triceps had shrunk a bit. Well to make a long story short my right pec, lat and triceps are smaller than on my left side. It's noticeable if you look closely but luckily not as evident as I feared it would be. I still feel discomfort when I wear something tighter since one side feels looser than the other and it keeps reminding me of the issue and it kinda gets to you. I guess I was lucky enough it did not get worse and I am thankful for that. I should have put more emphasis on getting regular massages, stretching, mobility exercises etc. I read somewhere that after 2 years or so the nerve damage will be permanent. How long did it take you to reach the lever you're at right now? Tnx

This is doing the rounds on socials. Kinda sad for Ronnie that this is how he might end up being remembered.
