Have you heard or read about current and future construction on the Mexico/U.S. border wall? How many miles have been completed thus far. What manner of border wall or fencing is it? Everything I read reports different numbers of new miles of a combination of walls and fencing types has been constructed since Trump took office. Do you know otherwise?

He may be referencing that funding the wall is in the BBB that just passed.

It's more "official" now.

No need for a wall anymore. They are being rounded up and sent home now and aren't coming back at least while Trump is in office.

8 years in and half done.  ::)

Empire State Building was built in just over 11 months.  :D

Windy City red tape, palm-greasing, and racial quotas.  There are easier places to build.

You have a point, but it looks like the wall may still get built if the recently passed budget still includes all or only part of the expenses listed below.

The Senate budget reconciliation bill that was passed included an allocation of funds for immigration detention and enforcement, including $45 billion for building new immigration detention centers, $29.9 billion for ICE’s enforcement and deportation operations, $10 billion fund to reimburse DHS for costs related to safeguarding the borders of the United States, and, surprise, surprise another $46.6 billion for border wall construction.

Also, the U.S. offered payments or other forms of assistance to countries in exchange for accepting deported individuals.

These and other expenses amount to an increase in the national debt of $3.94 trillion over the next decade.
