I imagine most Getbiggers will be spending the holiday today watching Wimbledon?

I like watching the women's. but not much there for Big Mike Cox

a sport for high class f@ggots but here is something funny, in school i was actually good at Hockey ..if i was brought up in the US or Canada i think it would have been my sport.
in the UK at that time it was more of a womans sport (not like Canadian or American on the ice Hockey)`but men did play it.
Had 3 PE teachers & 2 were ex Hockey Pros, a man & his sister. I thought he was a real upper class snob at first but he then complimented me on my playing. Not all my mates liked Hockey as 1 guy hit another guy on the head with a stick after a foul  :D
wasn´t a sport for us working class i guess

Definitely an expensive sport to have your kid pursue in the States.

I never knew anyone in my neighbourhood who took up tennis or hockey.  Was mainly football ( soccer) or boxing.
Only time I saw tennis was  local girls playing it on the street in our neighbourhood on the roads . Was quite where I lived so no danger to them.

Guys wear suits and ties to the matches. Men used to do that here when they went to baseball and basketball games ages ago. I still see older men wearing suits at Washington Nationals games and it gets hot in the summer. I think that's a good thing. Men dress like slobs these days.

Tennis is way cheaper than hockey and accessible to lower middle class kids most places in US. Tennis courts in lots of parks and schools. A couple of cheap rackets and balls.

Truly ignorant take; try actually watching it some time.

Golf I get although I do golf sometimes and baseball has it’s lulls.

How can it be an ignorant take if it’s my opinion? Do I have to find tennis exciting because you do? If someone finds tennis boring, how can it be ignorant?

Flip it on right now and explain, thanks.

Tennis, the most boring, slow and pointless "sport" ever. No idea why people watch it.
Unless they change the rules and finally make it worth watching:

What about the women grunting when they hit the ball, I'd think that would appeal to GetBiggers.

It’s ok to find tennis boring but you must admit that McEnroe was definitely an original getbigger.

Lots of sports are boring to watch if you’re not really into the sport.

I bet even SF1900 will tolerate highlights from some quality tennis match?
Totally ok.
Its the true fans who want to watch those 4hrs around those highlights.

I don’t think I’ve ever watched a whole tennis match but still I like to listen to this kind of stuff.
