« on: July 09, 2025, 04:00:58 AM »
Elevated or Expansive Mood:
A person experiencing mania may feel excessively happy, euphoric, or even grandiose, believing they have special abilities or talents.
Increased Energy and Activity:
They may exhibit a surge of energy, restlessness, and a decreased need for sleep, often feeling like they can accomplish a great deal.
Racing Thoughts and Speech:
Thoughts can race, leading to rapid speech, where it's difficult to follow the train of thought, and difficulty concentrating.
Impulsivity:
This can manifest as reckless spending, risky sexual behavior, or engaging in other activities without considering the potential consequences.
Irritability:
Mania can also present with irritability and agitation, especially when the person is challenged or their plans are thwarted.
Other Associated Traits:
Psychomotor Agitation: Increased physical activity and restlessness.
Distractibility: Difficulty focusing, with attention easily drawn to irrelevant stimuli.
Grandiosity: Exaggerated sense of self-importance and abilities.

There are drugs which can treat that.

On Seroquel and doc just told me to up the doze from 200 mgs to 300 mgs

This is from The Mayo Clinic

For treatment of mania with bipolar disorder:
Adults—At first, 300 milligrams (mg) once a day in the evening. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. However, the dose is usually not more than 800 mg per day
