Sad, but I have to say I was never a fan of their music, and don't rate him at all as a singer.

I like Sabbath and many of his solo songs, like bark at the moon. RIP.

However my niece showed me some, what he thought was funny, early interviews just a fe days ago. Absolutely braindead extremely low IQ stuff. "I ate a bat because people expected me to be extreme, I just want to please people, I'm sober since years, you can't have drugs and alcohol control you, it's not an authentic way to live." Not that anyone should expect musicians to be philosophers ("never meet your idols, you are bound to be disappointed"), I'm just thankful for the music 8)

someone threw the bat onstage and he thought it was a toy, he bit the head off it, he ended up having to go through a load of anti rabies shots.

He didnt plan it or do it on purpose

Exactly. I enjoyed his music, but he lived about 30 years longer than he should’ve for a mush-brained drug addict
