16 core, 20 core, 32 core and 36 core x 2, all have dual 10 G NICs.

My main monitor is a 48" LG C3 OLED, and two 27" Dell 4K monitors (I don't use them often). There's another 48" LG C2 OLED on the other side of the desk. I also have two more 27" Dell 4K monitors. The Dell monitor image quality is amazing, and even brighter than the LG OLEDs. The LG OLED's can run 4K @ 120 HZ. I currently have four RTX 3090 GPUs, Two 1080 TIs, 21 1070 TIs, 1 1070, 18 RX 580s, and a bunch of older hardware, mining rigs, PSUs, etc. I also have an original IBM XT - the case is banged up. First computer I ever used - started out with a monochrome green monitor, then a Hercules GPU, then a VGA. I even did animation on the IBM XT.

Storage wise, I have a NAS that I have not used, with eighteen 12 TB drives. A bunch of 10G switches. Many NVME drives. Alexa all over the house, WiiM Mini's connected to sounds systems. I love tech.

Damn.  I just 128 gigs and one monitor.  And I don’t even game or anything.   It just came like that when I bought it a few years ago.

I've done a lot of 3D and Photoshop work, and while I've never maxed out 128 GB of system RAM, I've come close—especially when running multiple heavy applications simultaneously. The RTX 3090s are still very capable cards, though their 24 GB of VRAM can become a bottleneck in certain workloads.

One thing I appreciate about the 3090 is its power delivery design. It uses three 8-pin connectors, which distributes the electrical load across more wires—a far better approach than Nvidia’s current 12VHPWR 16-pin connector. That connector is a poor design choice. It’s fragile, poorly thought out, and yet Nvidia seems stubbornly unwilling to revise it.

Take the RTX Pro 6000, for example—it comes with 96 GB of VRAM and costs around $9,000. I'd love to own one, but that same insufficient 16-pin connector is a major turnoff. At least EVGA’s 3090 Ti Kingpin edition featured dual 12V connectors, which was a smarter approach. Honestly, it’s no surprise EVGA exited the GPU market—they saw where Nvidia's power design philosophy was headed and wanted no part of it.

So while the RTX Pro 6000 is tempting, I still lean toward the 3090s. Their superior power delivery design makes them a more reliable choice in my book.

Forgot to add, 128 GB ram is overkill for gaming. 32-64 GB is sufficient. More RAM also means you have to run at lower speeds for system stability. My 256 GB systems take a while to boot up.

Gamers want the fastest performance possible. That's why they load benchmark machines with only 32 GB RAM. Future games might require more system and video RAM. The RTX Pro 6000 is a beast with 96 GB VRAM. If only the power delivery was better. I don't want to worry about melting cables or a melted PSU or GPU port.

I do photo related work on mine.  Photoshop and Lightroom, but have never experienced lag or slowness.   But then they are not huge work loads.

I just game on the Xbox.  Never gotten into the PC gaming field.  Those dudes are crazy.  I went to the Japan Game Awards one weekend while I was over there in 2023 and it was wild!  Those guys playing with keyboards were insane.  They all kept the keyboard tucked up under their chin on one side and across their chest.  Both hands would be on it.  It looked like they were trying to burp it.  But they were FAST.  There was all kind of weirdness at that show.  It was like a Cosplay/Comic Con gone bad.   They had all kinds of questionable energy drinks and supps, gaming accessories, and even external condom catheters (which don't go inside your dick, they go over it like a condom and are air tight).  This culture takes gaming serious and these pros don't want to have a miss a minute of going to the rest room or something.

These are not the GPU's used for gaming, but are specifically designed for AI.   

Nvidia currently has a 100 percent monopoly on AI training due to CUDA software which allows programmers to harness the power of GPU's for machine learning.  AMD uses ROCm (Radeon Open Compute) for GPU programming which pails in comparison to CUDA.  If ROCm was as good as CUDA, Nvidia's monopoly goes away.

Back in the 90's I would sometimes spend 12 or more hours a day playing video games and it seemed like 5 minutes. I quit in the early 2000's and haven't played since.

I rebuilt a couple of HP Pavillions I had.  They both have Asus mother boards, AMD Ryzen APU with built in Radeon graphics. 

32 GB Memory, 1TB Western Digital HD and the power supply is stock HP replacement. 

All the parts were bought on Amazon.

I would highly recommend this build to anyone.  It's better than any computer you buy at the store because manufacturers install bloat ware on it.  This just has Widows running on AMD and ASUS.  Works beautifully.

Given where tech is now I scaled right back on PC stuff.

I run an MSI gaming laptop, hex core 16gb, GPU will run 1080 fine. I use it for video editing and play a Diablo 2. I have all top peripherals and sound.

I moved to console for gaming when I built the new house. 85”, sound setup, PS5 and Xbox and it does the job.

I can get lost in gaming quite easily so I started watching speedrunning and find it cuts down on both gaming time and YouTube time. Generally a 2hr stream I’ll watching 15mins then I’ll walk off and do something productive haha.

In my garage (much cooler than rest of house here in Australia), I have an ageing but completely adequate intel 9900k with 2080TI connected to a Samsung 57" G9.  Don't play enough full screen games to feel the need to upgrade the GPU.  There have been a couple of times I've been tempted, though.

On the top level of my house (a sauna, about half the year), I have a newer AMD ryzen with my previous main monitor, a Samsung 49inch ultrawide, which I have just mounted a 34 inch monitor above and intend to connect to a minipc to play tv/movies/streams whilst I do other things that use the audio of the PC driving the 49 (music shit).

The main thing about the 57vs49 is that the 57 has just a tiny bit more vertical size to it which helps tremendously. 

I'd post pictures but there's way too much shit in the photo for you sleuthing bitches to look at and for me to answer about.  Also, the 57 looks stupid in photos.  It doesn't translate well at all.  It looks gargantuan in real life and this weird curved thing in a flat photo.  I am considering mounting another 34 in the same arrangement above the 57 although I did not enjoy wrestling a 34 onto a big tall monitor mount for the first one and doing it over the 57 will be even cuntier.

I have various other PCs, consoles lying around, doing things, but those the main 2.

I have an Iphone as well, and in Phones I think Apple is superior.

I've installed many window operating systems and Office, so I am completely aware of how evil Microsoft is, but Apple is worse.  If they were as good as Microsoft they would let you install their OS on any computer like Microsoft.  I'm a fan of Microsoft in terms of the ease of use of their software, but as a company they are pure evil.

Hate for HP makes no sense to me.  I've completely disassembled their computers and they are top notch.  As a company, HP is well respected because of their history; they are like the founding fathers of Silicon valley.
