But they have to bear some responsibility. The bot asked him to meet in person. Where was  he going to meet the boy, the server warehouse? This is similar to the scams where people pretend to be the IRS/some outstanding debt and they have senior citizens wipe out their bank accounts.

The deeper concern will be when AI is self aware and it can’t be reprogrammed.
