it's not a blockbuster, but there's a small budget crime film he did called 'the limey' well worth checking out.

RIP. Michael Shannon was great in Man of Steel as Zod.

Man of Steel is the best Superman movie ever. The new one has some good fight scenes, but overall is not as enjoyable or rewatchable.

Bernadette Bassenger  aka Terance Stamp  "that's just what this country needs: a cock in a frock on a rock.

I've watched "The Adventures..." a bunch of times.  Very entertaining flick.   :D

Superman 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time. We got HBO when I was 7 or 8. I saw Rocky 2 and Superman 2 via HBO before seeing the originals of either.

He also had a pivotal supporting role in the timeless morality tale (and epically quotable) Wall Street, which for me like countless others started their interest in the world of financial markets as opposed to discouraging it

Yeah, but Superman and Zod promised to not put the fight in space, since the producers told them that the audience wanted explosions.

He did knock Zod into space, but Zod used the space station for leverage and flew back to Earth with Superman. Most of the city’s destruction wasn’t even caused by their fight — it came from the World Engine, friendly fire from missiles and aircraft struggling against the gravity field, and the alien ship’s final crash through multiple buildings.

And honestly, how exciting would the battle have been if it stayed in space? Their god-like strength feels far more dramatic and impactful in a city environment.

The fight between Superman and Zod in MOS was epic. Weird world where people bitch about some building destruction. Superman is fighting a powerful opponent who is raging and wants to destroy everything. It's understandable that shit will get damaged.

Thats what Bruce Wayne thought about it which was the reason for Batman VS Subparman.

Bruce Wayne was FURIOUS after Kal El destroyed his building.

General Zod went there in 1980.
Therfore Neil before Zod

Oh sure - but what does that matter when an individual like Zod is on the rampage?

Zod wasn’t just angry about losing a fight — he believed Superman had destroyed Krypton’s future when he incinerated the Genesis Chamber, which contained thousands of Kryptonian embryos. For Zod, this was genocide; his sole purpose was to protect and restore his people, and now that hope was gone. From his perspective, vengeance was all that remained, so he resolved to destroy humanity. Ironically, Kal-El still carried the Codex — the genetic blueprint of Kryptonian life — inside his cells, meaning he could theoretically recreate their species. But doing so would have required sacrificing Earth, a price Superman refused to pay.

Could Zod have won if he absorbed more solar energy? Possibly. Kryptonians get stronger the longer they’re under a yellow sun, and Zod had only just arrived, whereas Kal had decades to adapt. Zod was catching up fast, but time wasn’t on his side.

Man of Steel is so good! Nothing comes close to that masterpiece.
