Whether it needs to happen or not, it is still weaponization of the DOJ against (Trump's) political opponents and based on political grievances which the examples below confirm.

John Bolton: The former National Security Adviser's home was raided by the FBI in August 2025, reviving a previously closed investigation into his 2020 memoir. The new probe is allegedly over classified documents and has been criticized as political retribution for Bolton's public criticism of Trump.
Miles Taylor: The former Department of Homeland Security official was directed for investigation by Trump in April 2025. Taylor wrote an anonymous 2018 op-ed and a book critical of the administration and endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. Trump has publicly accused Taylor of treason.
Christopher Krebs: The former top cybersecurity official was directed for investigation by Trump in April 2025. Trump fired Krebs in 2020 after he confirmed the security of the 2020 election.
Letitia James: The New York Attorney General is the subject of a grand jury investigation by the DOJ over her personal real estate transactions. The probe follows her civil fraud case against Trump's business, which has been appealed.
Adam Schiff: CNN reported in August 2025 that the DOJ had opened an investigation into the congressman and frequent Trump critic. Trump has a long history of animosity towards Schiff, including repeated calls for his prosecution.
James Comey and John Brennan: The former FBI and CIA directors, respectively, are facing criminal investigations launched by the DOJ in July 2025. The specific focus is unclear, but both were leaders during the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Law firms: Trump has revoked the security clearances of several law firms, accusing them of "weaponizing the justice system". Some firms, such as Jenner & Block, Perkins Coie, and WilmerHale, have had Trump's orders paused by judges, while others, like Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Skadden, Arps, have struck deals with the administration.
Jack Smith: The special prosecutor who previously investigated Trump is now himself under investigation by a government watchdog agency.

This is why no one takes you seriously

No, but I'm also not the guy who can't even use his own words to have a conversation, and I'm also not the guy who literally posts the same exact doctored pics over and over again.  That's you.

So, if you make a comment about me outside your retard TDS thread, I'll respond in kind.

So again, when adults are talking, keep your childish shit out of it, funk'd_in_the_head51
keep your childish shit out of it, funk'd_in_the_head51                       Talk about childish the guy who resorts to name calling like a 12 year old. PLEASE. I actually thought you were better than that.

To be bruised, you'd have to have some kind of emotional attachment to these things.

I have none.

But, I am all for a modicum of haranguing (or as dj181 would call it a "mediocrom"), but funk seems to be exceeding that quantity.

Props on your use of the word, however.
So you are more or less trolling the board then, no big surprise there.

You're on the same level as OAK.
Doesn't take a degree in political science to see how easily you old folks are manipulated. It's because when you were growing up trusting the news and the media was a real thing. You were led to believe that they were telling the truth 100% of the time. As history and technology have advanced, the medias exploitation of the brainwashed masses has become evident. Some have waken up and search out their own information to form opinions on and others, like you old folks here, have double downed and ride the coattails of your past.
You mean like Joe rogan's podcast  as the true beacon of truth and knowledge. :D :D :D :D :D :D   OKAY.

No, I present facts.  I'm just not emotional about them.

You present doctored memes and falsehoods for a majority of your posts.  THAT would be considered trolling, but it's tolerated because anyone following your posts knows you don't really read or watch all the stuff you post, let alone understand them.

But you pass them along like the good little sheep you are.

I mean, look at the post above to chaos.  It's been explained to you countless times that nobody believes Rogan to be an authority on anything outside of MMA/Elk hunting, but people listen to him have discussions with a wide variety of folks on a wide variety of subjects, so they can draw their own conclusions.  It's the way the world is supposed to work.

But you refuse to listen or comprehend that and keep posting the same stupid response.

I will easily admit I'm wrong if you produce and counter that disproves anything I've said.

I'll even try to help you by telling you in advance that a doctored photo making Trump look fatter or shitting himself doesn't count.

Eat shit with that response.

Why not just provide examples or a legit counter argument?

I can list real, tangible examples of what happened under the Biden admin.  Stuff that is completely factual and was called out at the time.

Your counter is "see Trumps does it too".

The department of Justice investigates crimes - if the prior admin potentially committed them, is the current admin not supposed to investigate?

Sure, the current administration should investigate potential crimes the previous administration committed, just as the previous administration investigated the potential crimes of the administration that came before theirs. The issue is what is driving the investigations.

Under Donald Trump, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is pursuing investigations against Trump's political rivals, critics, and officials who investigated him. Legal experts condemn these undertakings as the weaponization of the DOJ for political retribution.

You are ignoring what the gov't agencies did during Russiagate.  They were not merely investigating something.  They used a dossier that they knew was fake to get a FISA warrant.  They knew they had no evidence but were directed to continue.

You are also ignoring the Bragg and James' cases, where a crime was manufactured to fit the person.

If you're interested, I can point you to a specific podcast on Friday which said exactly how the left and you would react to the Bolton stuff.  You all have behaved as predicted.

Of course we behaved as predicted. Why would anyone expect otherwise?

Yes you are.

You are ignoring that those being investigated by Trump have reasonable reasons to be investigated.  You are creating a false equivalent.

In a few months or years, when the "reasonable" reasons to investigate Trump's detractors prove to have been either valid or invalid, a discussion about false equivalents might make sense. However, the real possibility of Trump's involvement in Russian interference in the 2016 election gave reason for an investigation at that time.

Let's take a look at what are reasonable reasons to investigate, by comparing the FBI's recent search for classified documents at the Bolton residence and the FBI search for classified documents at Trump's residence.

On August 22, 2025, the FBI raided the home of John Bolton, as part of a national security investigation into the potential mishandling of classified documents. It has not been confirmed whether or not he possessed classified security documents, so obviously no determination can currently be made as to his maybe having mishandled them. In contrast, on August 8, 2022, when the FBI executed a search warrant at Mar-a Lago, Trump's residence, it was already established that there had been classified documents there because some of them had already been turned over to the FBI. Their suspicion that he had additional ones was confirmed during and following the search.

The bolded proves you haven't paid attention to anything.  We are so far beyond that at this point.

Keep your head in the sand.

I'll watch and see how it plays out.
