Think about it from a 30,000 ft view:

DA who ran her campaign on "getting Trump" (before any charges were filed against him), prosecutes a case about a loan that was paid in full with interest, and the banks who lent him the money said they did not think they were being defrauded, and would do it again the exact same way.

THAT is what levied an excessive fine, acccroding to the judge.

You just cannot view this in isolation.  It's all part of a corrupt lawfare scheme to get Trump.

The DOJ could not stop the release of John Bolton's memoir, The Room Where It Happened, in 2020. A federal judge denied the Trump administration's request for an injunction to block the book, citing First Amendment concerns and the fact that copies were already widely distributed. Will they fail again?

In 2020, the Justice Department alleged that the manuscript for his memoir included classified material/information and tried to block its release. This earlier Justice Department probe into this matter did not lead to criminal charges.

This is really tone deaf.  This is part of what the judge said when ruling:

"The damage is done," he wrote in a 10-page opinion.

"Defendant Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability," Lamberth concluded.

They changed the law to allow a woman to accuse him of rape 30 years ago, when she cannot even identity the year it allegedly happened.
They tried to put him in prison for life.
They tried to remove him from the ballots. 
They tried to assassinate him, twice. 
His media coverage has been 90+ percent negative since 2015.
They call him a fascist and literally Hitler.

I don't follow him 24/7.  As I've said, I know there's 20-25% bullshit that comes with the territory, but I don't get lost in that.  I leave that up to those with The Affliction (aka TDS)......

When next Trump and I get together for a little chat, I will make sure to mention to him that at least one of his Getbig supporters, Grape Ape, does not know about or pay attention to his often-voiced concerns with being bigly maligned by the public and the media. BTW, I won't mention your comment about the 20 -25% territorial bullshit because that would surely set him off, majorly, and he would call you out for being a terrible, terrible person.
