MK-677. I thought the appetite boosting effect had sort of petered out for me, but running it again the past 10 or so days I jacked up the dose to 40mg and the appetite is insane again. They have tested this in the elderly, for example to stave off Alzheimers, but say it will never be on the market due to the appetite stimulation. The serious side I get, and most others, is extreme sleepiness. I slept 8 hours last night, took some Vyvanse, was up for 4 hours and slept another 7

One appetite stimulant which might be advantageous, especially if there's insomnia too, is mirtazapine. It will increase appetite and there's almost always weight gain.
I'm taking two forms of B12 right now, one is adenosylcobalamin and is supposed to sometimes increase appetite. Hard to tell if it does now that I'm on the MK.
Hes 87 and had a heart attack a year ago. The lack of appetite seems to have started three years ago. I have him drinking meals, which naturally now kaiser wants to do away with. They are forcing a man with no appetite to eat somehow....
Was he getting those nice RTDs with all the vits and mins along with protein? Many elderly are picky and don't want to drink those either but they taste so good and are light.
