I think these major cultural changes. All the weird shit that makes modern life look so foreign compared to the first 3 1/2 decades of my life, is mostly due to social media and online porn.
I mean for as long as I could remember, life and the world around me seemed to change very little year-to-year. And whatever changes there were, were linear and logical. You could see and understand the changes in the world around you. In 1980 if you were able to look into the future 5 years-for example- you probably wouldn't be surprised by whatever advances, progress and it would most certainly be a positive change. Any changes would've definitely be seen as a move in the right direction.
For the last 10 to 20 years, everything makes less and less sense. From year to year.
Now, who knows wtf you'd see looking 5 years into the future. Are we headed towards a Civil War? Are we headed toward WWIII? Will the floodgates open at the border after the next election? How much more fantasy will we have to indulge in all of the identity politics- whether its race, gender, sex ? Who tf knows what the truth of anything is anymore? If in 1985 medical science produced a cure for cancer, people would take the cure without question. It would be the greatest discovery of the 20th century. Now, after 2020 covid, mandates, forced Vax etc... I don't trust the medical community, or news agencies or politicians. Its all dirty work. I have no idea where it's headed but I do know that everyone having 24/7 access to ALL of the information available to mankind, in the palm of their hand, is the single largest contributing factor as to how weird everything has become.
