I'm actually lucky that we have very good cycle paths but you've still got areas where you've got to really stay alert as some people just don't give a shit.
I have to say though I've seen some seriously risky moves by guys on busy main roads like a guy I know who's a serious triathlon competitor.
Rather than using a parallel cycle path he goes on the main road & his reasoning was that he didn't want to buckle his expensive wheels on his expensive racing bike.
He then complained about car drivers shouting at him.
I use a mountain bike which is robust & I'm not a serious triathlon athlete just for some heart training..Still I wear a helmet...don't give a fuck if I look like a dick head
